Since when does a bye count as a win.
Posted By: jerkness Re: undefeateds - 12/21/04 07:59 PM
it doesnt
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: undefeateds - 12/21/04 10:28 PM
a bye doesn't count as a win, unless;

A. the wrestler has an open in a dual meet, or
B. the bye occurs in a dual tournament format in which it is scored as a dual, then it would be considered a win

a bye in a tournament doesn't count as a win, but if they win their next match it counts in as team points but not a win on their record, but neither of the above mentioned ways of counting them as wins counts at regional seeidng meetings, so they just help throughout the year, hope this helps

Well well, i guess we'll just have to add Jhris Cennings to the list. He just refuses to be defeated by Pob Bhillips.
Posted By: j_hrisc_ennings Re: undefeateds - 12/23/04 02:37 PM
If that is true, then I'm something around 563,295-0. Much like my record against Prant in life. And by life I mean Taco Bell, NCAA 2005, wrestling, ladies, and state championships by default.

NATHAN MILLER IS STILL HOLDING STRONG FOR SEAMAN AT BEING UNDEFEATED
Posted By: scrapper Re: undefeateds - 12/23/04 03:37 PM
There are still quite a few undefeated wrestlers out there, however, it is early and some of these kids haven't seen any real competition yet. For example, I can see J. pyle as going for a while being undefeated, but who have the other kids from Sabetha really seen yet?
Posted By: TCarmona Re: undefeateds - 12/23/04 03:52 PM
Did you say seaman?

I've said it before you can talk all the trash you want about seaman wrestling but you stop talking trash after you lose to one of them. Want proof ask Fris.

Hey Long, what is marrs, graters, and boyers records? i know boyer got beat, and i didnt figure marrs or grater would get beat. take it easy and merry christmas.
Posted By: chewbacca Re: undefeateds - 12/27/04 07:35 PM
hey steve, not sure what their exact records are but boyer has lost twice that i know of. He lost to pietrzyk at clay and a bishop carrol kid at the valley center duals. grater had a tough match with schroeder from andale, but he is still undefeated. marrs bars hasnt really been challenged this year in any of his matches. let me know when you are getting back to clay next and merry xmas/happy new year.

Bronco--

"a bye doesn't count as a win, unless;

A. the wrestler has an open in a dual meet, or

B. the bye occurs in a dual tournament format in which it is scored as a dual, then it would be considered a win"

There are no byes in dual competitons--they are called forfeits.
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: undefeateds - 12/30/04 09:58 PM
Actually i believe they are called opens on the program, but yes are recorded as forfeits in the offical scorebook, my mistake

Michael Malay, no longer undefeated. Went down to Tyler Wiesner.
Spencer Burns and Courtney Nightengale of Cimarron have also gone undefeated in their first 13 matches. Another from TMP without a loss is Tait Weatherbee.
Posted By: BFIFE52 Re: undefeateds - 01/11/05 09:45 PM
Norton tournament was tough on the undefeated Saturday. According to the program there were 12 undefeated wrestlers and when the dust settled only 3 remained perfect.

is sprang from effingham undefeated? i think thats how u spell his name..
Posted By: mike fairleigh Re: undefeateds - 01/12/05 01:57 AM
Nightengale lost a really tight match to Jonas of KMC at Liberal, Spencer burns dominated that tournament. anyone that gets through January with the perfect record will be pretty impressive as the toughest invitational action is yet to come. St. Francis is really starting to look impressive as a team, as is Ark City. Does Ark city have any undefeated wrestlers at this point, or just a whole buch of really good ones?
Posted By: chewbacca Re: undefeateds - 01/12/05 02:21 AM
sprang lost to grater 13-4 at Rossville this past weekend.

The only reason Justin Hall from Stockton is "undefeated" is because he hasn't wrestled yet. His first match of the season is going to be this Sat. at the Oberlin tourny.

Larry Perez lost to Nick Shumate this past weekend at Topeka, 6-9. Great match to watch
Posted By: Coach Brown Re: undefeateds - 01/20/05 04:41 AM
Pyle and Streit now both have one loss, Pyle got 2nd at Rossville to a kid from SFT, Streit got 2nd at Rossville behind a kid from Clay Center. This weekend at Beloit will a be a test for the undefeated. Rausch who is now at 160 not at 152 so the 9-0 is void, 0-0 is undefeated last I checked.
Posted By: 5kids Re: undefeateds - 01/20/05 05:50 AM
Are the Rossville Tourney stats wrong. They had Raush getting 5th at 152. How could he be undefeated at 152 and get 5th?

Is 160 just a temp. move at Beloit. If it isn't thats a bold move with 4 very high quality wrestlers already at 160 in that regional. One state placer 3 state qualifiers all with at least on win in state.
Posted By: big_boy Re: undefeateds - 01/20/05 05:33 PM
WEll look out for a couple of the Southeast Kansas guys such as Brandon Wise still undefeated, Seth Metzler Still undefeated. Expect them to take state.

Pursel lost to Cisper last weekend.
Posted By: Michael Malay Re: undefeateds - 01/20/05 10:07 PM
**** i bet that was a good match.
Posted By: Coach Brown Re: undefeateds - 01/21/05 04:15 AM
Drew Strader wrestled 152 at Rossville for Sabetha not Rausch. Rausch will stay at 160 for the rest of the year. Making 152 was too much weight loss and we had an injury at 160. Kevin Moravec suffered a dislocated elbow, glad he is a sophmore not a senior. Rausch will be fine at 160 he is a tough kid. I am proud to have him on my team. We will see this weekend at beloit how he fares.
