Posted By: Hulse Re: WYCO - 02/10/03 10:04 PM
Not much to say about the tournament. Turner Dominated.

whats ur name crossface
Posted By: huh Re: WYCO - 02/10/03 10:45 PM
His name is Billy Jones from Turner and he is always talking crap on here about people.

He's the same guy that thought having the Kansas State Wrestling Tournament in Missouri was a good idea.

Ignore him, he's not very smart except in the mouth.

Anyone know the real reason Bonner Springs wasn't at the Wyco Tourney??? Other than it being one of the weakest tournaments in the state???

Come on---the KCKL isn't what it used to be in the early to mid 80s when Schlagle, Wyandotte and Bishop Ward had some decent teams...Now, the KCKL is lucky to have a couple of guys place at state...
Posted By: Happy Meal Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 02:18 AM
I agree the WYCO Tourn. isnt what it used to be but Bonner Springs would have made it a real decent tournament. KCKL is separate from WYCO and takes place this next weekend. There are still some exciting wrestlers from that league though. Washington has had 8 state placers in the last 3 years including Roath who returns this year. Harmon had a state champion in Pullium last year and Hendrix was a placer a couple year before, and I believe they have had others. Wyandotte has had several placers, including Holliday last year and he should place again this year. Other possible placers this year are: Freshman Pullium (Harmon); Roath and a host of others from Washington, Holliday and some good heavier weighted kids (Wyandotte)and Cannon is about Schlagle's only hope to medal at state.
Posted By: Big_DeBo Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 02:38 AM
Hell that kid from Turner lost to our 125 at the duel this year
Posted By: Jeremy Roberts Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 02:59 AM
I just wanted to know why Newbill isn't talking anymore crap? I think he got took to school. Getting Tech Falled. Not to impressive for someone talking a lot of crap on here earlier.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 03:06 AM
Hey Gorilla, Schlagle and Wyandotte weren't just decent in the eighties and ninties they were darn good. In 92 both squads trophied at the same time with Wyandotte second in 6A and Schlagle 3rd in 5A. Both teams were regularly in the top four in that four or five year span. They were a whole lot better than decent. In ten years there were over twenty state champs out of that league. Hows your league doin?
Posted By: GorillaHawk Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 12:20 PM
Mr. Westfahl---
How's my league doing??? Well, that's an answer that has two parts to it...When I was in high school, we were apart of the very tough EKL...Back in the day (early 80s) when there were two Olathe and one Blue Valley schools...Now the school is among those in the KVL...

I wasn't trying to bash the KCKL (I know you were the head coach in the league for years)...I was just trying to point out that the Wyco tourament wasn't the same w/out Bonner...And that teams among the current KCKL are not as good as they were in the early 80s (believe me, I went up against a few)...
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 12:36 PM
While I appreciate you pointing that out, things come and go in any league, and no one is tough all the time unless they can recruit. The KCKL is going thru a tough spell right now but all leagues do. Heck those schools you listed on there were not schools we ever lost to in those days, they were having their tough times then too. I just hate to see any league or group of kids made light of or denigrated when they are trying to do the best job they can.
Posted By: huh Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 12:43 PM
Crossface

I Did know what I was talking about when I ran my mouth.

You are Bill Jones from Turner and you have in the past talked alot of crap on people in this forum.

You have bashed a couple of Olathe South wrestlers everytime their names showed up on this forum and you did think that Kemper Arena was in Kansas.

So what part of my post wasnt accurate?
Posted By: StallionTime125 Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 01:04 PM
Wyco would be a lot better if people would not run from each other.A lot of people bumped up just to avoid someone. Its a stragey that Schlagle doesn't use. I wrestle. That is what I'm going to do.

Billy I dont dislike you.But this is wrestling season not track season.(And the only reason I didn't see u at Chantue was because I sprung my shoulder).I will see u at regionals.
Posted By: tbears189 Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 03:06 PM
Hey Cannon.... just so you know you can't spring your shoulder. I think you mean you sprained your shoulder. And we don't bump up to avoid people, and niether did any other team in the tourney. So before you start talkin crap, why don't you know WHAT your talkin about.
Posted By: crossface-killer Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 06:16 PM
Hey Cannon that is cool, if honestly think that I ran from you then at Regionals we will see who is running on the mat. I would never bump a weight just to dodge someone. My coach wanted me at 130 because he thought Washington would have a 130 pounder. And as far as "Huh" is conserned do you wrestle? if you do what weight and what school?
Posted By: huh Re: WYCO - 02/11/03 08:54 PM
Crossface-Killer

No, Billy Jones I dont wrestle anymore and I dont go to school either.

So why didnt you answer my question? What was not accurate with my post?

Also, while we are chating, why all those crapy post about Elsrode and Seilert, what have they ever done to deserve that from you?
Posted By: Tiltya4three Re: WYCO - 02/12/03 02:53 AM
hey newbill i herd that you were just going to take bird down and cut him because use turner guys aint good on are feet but you know what i teched your *** so shut up
Posted By: StallionTime125 Re: WYCO - 02/13/03 12:29 PM
Hey Teddy Bear 189, r u Billy's babysitter. If not stay out of our (trash talking)convosation

& Billy r u implying that I'm going to be running on the mat. Because if u do u would b the first one to make me run away. Running is something u r used to, not me.

I'm going to take a page out of Bird's book. When someone talks trash, take them out like trash.
Posted By: StallionTime125 Re: WYCO - 02/13/03 04:01 PM
hahahahahahahaha! U got good jokes! But It no laughing matter come 2 weeks for u punk.

P.S:U CAN RUN BUT U CANT HIDE!

P.S.S:Its a shame u had to drop 15 pounds just to get a varisty spot. See U Sweety!
Posted By: crossface-killer Re: WYCO - 02/13/03 04:45 PM
Look the only reason why I was at 140 last year is because it was punishment for me only being eligable for a semester. Secondly the only thang that I can agree with you on is come two weeks there will be no laughing and no talking just wrestling and we will see who comes out on top. Like I said before if you got guts get on the same side of the bracket but if you are scared then you better make it to the finals. See you soon.
Posted By: BigPin22 Re: WYCO - 02/13/03 06:08 PM
Let me guess one "thang", one of the reasons you were "eligable" for only one semester was the fact that you could not pass 9th grade English!

You guys are not bad wrestlers but you're not the superstars that you pretend to be!

You guys have both put a lot of pressure on yourselves by talking all this trash on each other, and the loser will no doubt catch a lot of crap from the rest of us that had to listen to it!!!!!!!
Posted By: Coach Penca Re: WYCO - 02/13/03 06:17 PM
Honestly, I cant wait to see you guys get after it after seeing the "verbal exchange" between u two. But, lets not forget that Keaton Baker from BV is 20-5 and the Bonner Springs kid isnt bad either, and they are going to be there as well.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/13/03 08:19 PM
The real tough thing about talking all this stuff publically is that you have to live with the fact that everyone in wrestling gets his eventually. We all have and you all will (or already have many many times). I would think all this bravado would make that moment very very difficult to handle. Just a thought. Coach P, good luck in your regional.
Posted By: neverbnpinned Re: WYCO - 02/14/03 02:42 AM
The worst part of the verbal tantrums between these two wrestlers is that they probably won't even see each other at Regionals. I suspect they will be on the wrong sides of the brackets, and we will get to see another weeks worth of meaningless taunts, and promises. If Jones hadn't run at Wyco we could be saving this cyber space for other worthless chat.
Posted By: cblood Re: WYCO - 02/14/03 03:01 AM
i used to live in kck, and i remember playin baseball for some wyco place. if that count for nething
Posted By: crossface-killer Re: WYCO - 02/14/03 12:50 PM
This is the last time I am going to say anything about this topic, I didn't run it was my coaches call. I don't see anyone saying that Roath ran from Flamez. Come regionals all my talking will be done on the mat. Who are you neverbnpinned?
Posted By: StallionTime125 Re: WYCO - 02/14/03 12:53 PM
Finally something me and Billy can agree on.

Coach P,
If u remember last year Jess Buck beat me 5-4at the triple dual we had. But when regionals came around I whipped him up 12-4. Regionals is no joke to me. Yeah Baker and Buck are good, But I dont play at regionals.
Posted By: Coach Penca Re: WYCO - 02/14/03 01:23 PM
As I have stated, I am looking forward to seeing you 2 get after it. All I am saying, there are other quality wrestlers in the 125 bracket and I dont want either of u taking them lightly or the wrestling community will never know how it turns out.
Posted By: Steve O Re: WYCO - 02/17/03 10:00 PM
I have to agree with Coach Penca and Coach Westfahl.

Stop talking so much, go to practice, take care of matters at school, and wrestle.

Billy, stay off the forum so much and focus.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: WYCO - 02/18/03 05:35 PM
Is Turner a city neway???
Posted By: StallionTime135 Re: WYCO - 02/18/03 11:06 PM
no, I think it's like a district
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/18/03 11:14 PM
no i is like a town like olathe or kck
Posted By: StallionTime135 Re: WYCO - 02/18/03 11:21 PM
The reason I think it is a district is because they were at the wyco tournament, and to go to that tournment you have to be within the limits of wyandottee county
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/18/03 11:32 PM
No you didnt get my drift. It is definitely a town and has been for about a hundred years. Just like KCK is a town and Bonner is a town and on and on. no doubt about it
Posted By: Peg_Leg_215 Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 12:06 AM
Yes, Turner is a town. But westfahl i'm pretty sure KCK(Kansas City Kansas) is a city.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 03:58 AM
Well hmmmm picking nits are we, city town, pretty cute. Now we will do the lesson on how a county can have more than one city/town in it. Do they still teach civics over there at Schlagle. Go take coach Sczcygiels class and have him explain how that works to you.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 03:59 AM
Sorry if you are from Turner. Do they teach civics anymore?
Posted By: Anonymous Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 02:58 PM
do Turner have their own town government. when I look at the address of Turner High School it say KANSAS CITY KS... maybe my civics is off but don't that mean that Turner is not even a town but is really just Kansas City (like a sub-division)???
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 05:16 PM
Man are you going to make all those Turner guys mad at you. Don't you remember when Turners mayor had so much trouble a few years ago. Turner has been around for a long long time over there and they dont consider themselves a subdivision. Cause they aren't. Just like Olathe is not a subdivision of Overland Park. Nor is Lenexa, Shawnee, well you get the picture.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 05:21 PM
All the towns in Wyandotte County are now in the Unified Government. That may be what you are confusing things with. They still are their own entitities though. Piper, Edwardsville, Turner, all the rest as well as KCK. Technically KCK doesn't have a mayor anymore but it is still a city. They just combined all of those city governments into a county one and let that do the whole deal but they didnt consolidate the different towns.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 05:27 PM
I was just sayin cuz the phone book never mention Turner, Kansas
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 05:28 PM
Ok you win I hearby abolish the city of Turner. Heck I always wanted to anyway lol.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 05:30 PM
LOL the KING has spoken bye bye Turner
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 06:08 PM
You know if I knew it was that easy I would have gotten rid of Norton when I was a kid.
Posted By: StallionTime135 Re: WYCO - 02/19/03 11:58 PM
It never was a city/town/country to get abolished in the first place. It's just an area of kansas city
Posted By: tbears189 Re: WYCO - 02/20/03 01:38 AM
Turner is just a district in Kansas City. Yes they still have civics in turner, and no we don't have a mayor. Our mayor is the mayor of KCK... Carol Marinabitch... (actually i think it's marinavitch). We are kinda like a town, cuz of the size, but we aren't "technically" a town.
Posted By: StallionTime125 Re: WYCO - 02/20/03 03:51 PM
Does it really matter what Turner is?This forum is suppose to be about wrestling. And Turner is a district.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/20/03 09:36 PM
Guess KCK is just a district too. They don't have a mayor anymore either. Same logic huh.
Posted By: StallionTime135 Re: WYCO - 02/21/03 11:54 AM
kck does have a mayor, you must not live close to these parts, huh?
Posted By: Anonymous Re: WYCO - 02/21/03 05:19 PM
Kansas City is a city and it's part of the Unified Governament of KCK and Wyandotte County... The KCK and County government have consiladated... Bonner Springs and Edwardsville remain the only other towns in Wyandotte COunty... NOT TURNER or PIPER

Did they teach civics back then
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/21/03 07:44 PM
Are too..
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/21/03 07:45 PM
By the way KCK does not have a mayor. Ask Coach Sczyzgiel to explain it to you heck he is from Turner for crying outloud. Quit skipping his class!!!
Posted By: StallionTime135 Re: WYCO - 02/22/03 02:44 AM
I actually go to coach szcygiels class every other day, and the next time I see him i'll ask, then once and for all everybody on this entire forum will know KCK has a mayor (Carol Marinovich) and Turner is a mere district.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/22/03 03:21 AM
Hey listen to me and tell coach I sent you. Marinivich is the Mayor of the Unified Government not KCK. So I win under your criteria KCK is not a town and tell Coach I said to get off his butt and teach you civics lol.
Posted By: Westfahl Re: WYCO - 02/22/03 03:27 AM
besides I did away with Turner remember. Tell Coach I disbanded his hometown.
Posted By: StallionTime135 Re: WYCO - 02/23/03 12:39 AM
I'm not trying to get personally involved, but how can you talk all that smack and not even show up to the tourny
Posted By: tbears189 Re: WYCO - 02/23/03 12:42 AM
Shut up Stallion135...
Posted By: Wyandotte's Finest Re: WYCO - 02/23/03 12:52 AM
yeah Stallion135 shut up u know Jones was scared

leave him alone
Posted By: StallionTime135 Re: WYCO - 02/23/03 12:56 AM
look don't be mad at me, I think Jones is a good wrestler, but what i'm saying is that you shouldn't talk stuff unless you know you can back it up ( isn't that the same as not showing up) so don't get mad at me, because when someone calls one of my teamates out like that I don't take it lightly
Posted By: tbears189 Re: WYCO - 02/23/03 01:29 AM
Jones never called Cannon out, it was actually the opposite... Cannon said Jones was dodging him... and as for whether he would've been able to back it up... he tech falled the baker kid from Blue Valley, and if memory serves me right... Baker stuck Cannon.
Posted By: Wyandotte's Finest Re: WYCO - 02/24/03 01:42 AM
Wyandotte County will be well represented at STATE
