Kansas Wrestling
Guys my county (Dickinson) will be doing Relay for Life at the Abilene Track in Abilene at 7 pm on Friday. Bring tents and whatever if you want to spend the night at the track! I'm not speaking but will be walking the Survivor Lap and then they have the Lap where friends and family walk with you...It would be neat to have the wrestling community there (especially if we are all wearing wrestling shirts!!!)
About what time is the victory lap where we could make sure to show up and walk with you?
The victory lap will be right about 7:15 at the latest...they have a speaker usually at 7pm. Then the walk. So being there about 7 would be about right.
Hey Aaron, I hope to make it out and walk with you!!! I have a nephew who is a Hodgkins survivor (he also wrestled) so I hope to find both of you out there. Do you mind if I wear a bright orange Abilene High School wrestling shirt ? Are you on a relay team?

I'm not on a Relay Team...this is just a spur of the moment Idea I had...I will probably be wearing a survivor shirt. I could wear my Clay Center or Abilene wrestling shirts, heck I don't even know if I have a Chapman one anymore.
I say let's see if the Wizzer of Oz Singlet fits and wear it.

If we had a Wizzer of Oz Shirt I'd wear it.
Hey Swayz if I didn't live clear over here in southwest kansas i would come walk with you since i missed our relay for life in scott last weekend. Sorry though i wish i could come but don't think my parents will let me drive all the way over to abilene by myself

Deena
That's ok lilsharpe...I got to woof down my salad and head out here in about an hour.
So what shirt are you wearing Swayz? they might chase you to the county line if they see you wearing a Clay Center wrestling shirt.

But as David Putty from Seinfeld would say... "Gotta support the team".

I will be wearing a purple Relay for Life Survivor shirt tonight.

I'll be talking with people during the night, but I'm not going to be the guest speaker if that's what your asking. I told them everybody in the county is sick of hearing about me! LOL
Who is the speaker then? It doesn't seem to big of an event if you aren't talking.

Not sure I'll let you know later if I can remember the name. Last year it was some guy that had to do 72 straight hours of chemo.
WOW. That is intense. Well have fun walking, sorry I couldn't make it up.
That's ok...I know you didn't want to come up with it being in Abilene and all.
I'm so used to having one of the nicest schools in the state, I wouldn't want to ruin my image by going there. No offense to Abilene at all, it's not their fault our school is better than theirs.

I will admit for any division right now Clearwater's shelled out the $$$ to get a great facility. They in my opinion will be hosting a big 2 day tournament before too long due to the 2 massive gyms they now have.
Swayz, should have called last night this totally slipped my mind. Had a church event last night but I could have still came up.

Chenoweth, are your contacts solid enough at the school that we could look at doing a camp or tournament at the school? Give me an email we may work on the tag team tournament and open tournament at the school to benefit the Tyler Graebner Foundation and the camp to benefit him as well next year. Close enough to Wichita that we could do that. I was speaking to Kendall yesterday and he was telling me that he would be willing to help out and is going to serve on the Advisory board for the TGF.
