Does anyone know how Mamie from STA is?

Jed has a broken fibula, the non-weight-bearing bone in the lower leg. He will see the orthopedist Monday, so we will learn more then. He was very disappointed not to be able to finish the match. Thanks for asking.

it may be the non weight bearing bone, but it is the bone that all the leg muscles are attached to. if it's broken, that's 6-8 weeks in a cast.

been there and done that

It's painful, but I know people have played football with a broken fibula!

Our thoughts and best wishes to Jed and the Mamie family. Jed is an outstanding young man, with excellent wrestling skills. Our hope is for a complete and total recovery, and know we are thinking of all of the Mamie family.

Get well Jed... you're a great guy and wrestler and I wish the best for you.

Nooooooooooooooooo!

Of all the non-Hat Town wrestlers in the state, Prant would have cast all his electoral votes for Med Jamie. (Even if he went to STA, who broke my heart last year.) This is quite sad news.

What happened? Is there any chance he'll be back?

that's terrible.

him and kellerman would have been a great match.

our thoughts and prayers are with jed...hope you have a speedy recovery bud.

there is a chance it could be healed by then...i broke my fibula the second week of dec...and i am starting to walk again...its true its non weight bearing...but a broken leg is a broken leg...those bones will shift and end up in places they really don't belong...which is why i have a plate and 7 screws in my leg...don't run on a broken leg....all that aside...theres a good chance he will be back by regionals.....

Our sympathies and empathies go out from the Edison's. Jarrett broke that bone years ago and it was a long recovery but his was a spiral fracture. Tell Jed to keep his spirits up and thank goodness he is still young.

Hey Mama--what about that sister?

All I can say is that I pity the kid who faces Jed in his first match back. Jed is going to be one hungry wrestler. Best of luck Jed.

Whether he has a limp or not it will be up to him, his doctor, his family, and his coach to decide.

How's Jed doing?

Am hoping everything heals quickly...sending some powerful osteocytes your way--Amanda--to get that studly son of yours healed in 2:4 time! Tell his dad to keep fixing those fried potatoes too & we'll bring the steaks!

Keep us all up to date!!!

ROCK CHALK!!
