In all my mentioning of Z.Roberson and S.Bunch competing at the Sunkist tournament..I nearly neglected leaving of a legend in his own right Melvin Douglas...Melvin made a great statement in regards to Steve Mocco 2002 NCAA runner up and 2003 National Champion at Heavyweight by saying the following:

"He's an NCAA champion, so what?" Douglas said. "There are tons of national champions, they're a dime a dozen. Let's see how he does with the big boys."
puts things in perspective for any NCAA champ. do something internationally and thats when the respect will roll in.
Though regardless of international success or not....if you don't respect Sanderson...on the International level...you'll get punk'd.
Placing second in his first appearance at a World Freestyle Championships doesn't qualify as international success for Sanderson?
"He's an NCAA champion, so what?" Douglas said. "There are tons of national champions, they're a dime a dozen. Let's see how he does with the big boys."

I guess he does do well against the big boys?

Melvin Douglas – “I felt strong. I’m not in the shape I need to be in. He is big and strong and a goer. He reminds me of Royce Alger. He will need a little more technique as he gets better. I felt good about the match. This is a starting point for me. Its my first competition since the Sydney Olympic Games.

Steven Mocco – “I felt good. I held my positions well. I’ll be competing more and I’m getting ready to go.”
