Chisholm Trail is having a League Tournament this year for the first time.

Chisholm #1
Augusta
Buhler
Goddard
Maize
Mulvane
Rose Hill
Valley Center

Chisholm #2
Andale
Andover
Andover Central
Circle
Clearwater
Wellington

I think Mulvane will be the First Champion, but you never know?

I think that no matter who wins, all of these teams get a big thumbs down from me. They're partly responsible for the breakup of the I-70 League, the coolest league on Earth. Boo to Salina Central and South for bolting, and boo to the Centennial for not wanting Manhattan and JC. (Okay, I kind of understand the JC thing. Ha.) I would think a league would jump at the chance to get in a league with such hilarious fellows such as the Manhattan wrestling team.

What's the purpose of a 24-team superleague? I understand for swimming and wrestling, but after that, what good does it do?! Again, boo you guys.

And Mulvane will win.

When did Douglas join the Chisolm Trail?

Also, The Chisholm Trail Leage will be sponsoring a Junior Varsity League Tournament hosted by Valley Center.

Last I knew, Douglas was not in the Chisholm Trail League. Perhaps they will be at the other of the "two Qualifying Tournaments" mentioned in a previous post by Mr. Terrell.
From the looks of it, Maize sent the jv to Rose Hill.

Does anyone know how they are going to run it? Seems most fair would be set Division 1 in Bracket A and Division 2 in Bracket B with the top two meeting as normal brackets. Third and Fourth go to the losers bracket and fight it out. 119 should be good. Division 1 Freeman, Hershey, Bohning, Del Forge are all very good. Division 2 Hermes, McDowell are the only consistent ones.

I agree Mulvane will be number 1 with Augusta #2.

How soon we forget, that just last week, both Wellington and Rose Hill finished above Augusta in the Rose Hill Invitational.
I think this will be a very interesting tournament for second place, although I don't think conceeding first to Mulvane before stepping on the mat is in order for anyone.
All in one group for the first championship, then, when the conference combines with the AVL, and the Salina schools come in, go to two 12-team tournaments.

Mr. Salyer I thought you knew everything. How did Mr. Grammar misspell League and Douglass?

Your two qualifying tournaments run is getting old. In Jr. wrestling we say you must have a Coaches card for the Qualifying Tournaments, which includes State when obviously State is not qualifying for anything. I guess to make you feel better I should say KSHSAA sponsored tournaments. By the way did you ever pay your money so you can get your card back? How many Clubs have you been kicked out of? Or asked to leave? Or not allowed in? I guess they let you back in District II since you are on here running your mouth again?

Your act is old, District II knows about it soon the rest of the State will too.

I don't think Valley Center or Maize had very many Varsity wrestlers at the Rose Hill Tournament because of too many points, so maybe they will be wrestling this weekend?

Douglass joined the Chisholm Trail in wrestling only seven years ago. I did not know they are not in it this year because of the changes coming up in two years. Douglass went to the Chisholm Trail Board to get out of wrestling Rose Hill for three years because of the violence due to some stupid fans vandalizing the school and other things in the parking lot, such as Busses and Cars by both Schools Fans.

Yikes. Your boring arguments were so long and uninteresting that I neglected to read both. Since both of you (or at least one of you) are "adults" who are officers in USA wrestling, might I suggest a more dignified manner to hash out your differences? If anything, post it on a private message so we don't have to read this crap.

(*Note: none of what I just said applies to me. I'm young and irresponsible. So ha. In 20 years, if I'm lucky enough to find a woman who will touch me and I have a little Prant or two, I sure as beans won't argue like a two year-old. Take THAT, age.)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go make fun of everyone else on my team, as well as some other people on the forum, because I still can. Ahhh, youth.

first off Douglas isnt in the CTL they werent even listed in the teams at the top and in addition to maize maybe not sending their whole team buhler has 5 or 6 guys thats cant go due to having to many points

Augusta will also be leaving a couple wrestlers home after a "meeting of the minds" at practice Tuesday. They will also miss the Valley Center meet Thursday.

What is a "meeting of the minds"?

Lang45: Douglass was listed by CoachJT in his original post as a participant in the CTL tournament. Since that original post is now changed, I guess that Mr. Terrell must have edited his own post.

By the way Mr. Terrell, in the first sentence of your attack on Mr. Salyer where you refer to a degree of one's knowledge, "new" could be defined as not old. Might I suggest the word "knew" as an addition to your vocabulary. Remember, youngsters like Prant Garker who finish second in spelling bees read this forum.

Although I consider your post to be in extremely poor taste and unbecoming of an adult, at least you are no longer attacking high school age (or younger) kids. Who on earth put you in charge of moderating anything? Follow Prant's advice.

Just to be a smart-butt, but Mr. Salyer, in your rant to coachjt, you forgot that he said "new everything" when it should be "knew everything"...

Just had to chime it on this...BTW, good comment from Prant...

What good is a league championship, if everyone sends their JV. This cheapens the entire process. This goes back to crazy Kansas rules on competition points.

I would say in this particular case it involves some teams over scheduling. One of the teams in question has a long history of this.
