Posted By: KanKan7 Re: johnson county classic - 12/11/02 03:10 AM
Any weight you specifically like to know for the classic
Posted By: vikes Re: johnson county classic - 12/11/02 03:15 AM
KanKan7:

Think it would be smart NOT to give out information on where people will be next week. Wait until seeding is over.

A little butterfly with power to make sure you don't.

119...my predictions for 119 as placers in random order r miller, redcorn, swander, one of the munyans...not sure for the rest of the placing spots
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/11/02 06:35 PM
im thinking that erisman will have a free ride to the finals, but will have a scrappy match against ecker or clayton, if they be on the opposite side of the bracket.
Posted By: HIPS Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 01:21 AM
Dont forget about Justin Stirling at 145 he is an awesome wrestler and even u ben have to admit that he beat clayton and he got screwed hardcore by that ref
Posted By: ExKansaswrestler Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 02:32 AM
119 has alot of tough but young wrestlers in that weight class. There is a few freshman to worry about.
Posted By: Bring It Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 02:59 AM
neil will win 145 easy
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 03:12 AM
i do have to admit it was a controversial match indeed. stiring is a very talented wrestler and will do well at the classic. I guess we'll find out who truely is better next weekend...
Posted By: ExKansaswrestler Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 06:33 PM
Does any body know weight Matt Crystal is going 135,140 or 145
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 06:36 PM
most likely 145
Posted By: ExKansaswrestler Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 06:37 PM
how do you think he will do
Posted By: Somers Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 06:40 PM
neil all the way the kids a stud he'll win
Posted By: ExKansaswrestler Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 06:42 PM
do you wrestle with neil
I have watch him through kids
and he is tuff
Posted By: Somers Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 07:06 PM
i wrestled kids with him years back and i wrestled with him at some east kansas practices were he was wrestling mcormicks brother and bunch pretty well
Posted By: ExKansaswrestler Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 07:08 PM
Which McCormick? What weight do you wrestle?
Posted By: raiderwrestler Re: johnson county classic - 12/12/02 07:16 PM
clayton beat stirling and thats the bottom line. there some close calls for both sides but in the end in over time nick took him down and that can't be argued. i think the next time they wrestle it will be just as close. 145 is going to be one hard weight class.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: johnson county classic - 12/13/02 12:47 AM
I think suh will do really well, he has worked his *** off in the off season, watch for him at the classic.
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/14/02 12:42 AM
crystal should get in the top 3 at least at 145. he got in the finals last yr, but with clayton, stirling and erissmen, its going to be one hell of a trip to the finals again.
Posted By: HIPS Re: johnson county classic - 12/15/02 09:19 PM
Hey Ben r u sure crystal is goin 145 i heard he got pretty big
Posted By: ExKansaswrestler Re: johnson county classic - 12/16/02 02:37 AM
If I was a beating man my money is all on Crystal. He is a mean son of bi#th. Stirling is tough. My little brother wrestled agianst Neil a few years back and lost by 4or 5 Im not sure on the sorry..

It could be a toss up but my money is on Crystal.

exkansaswrestler who are you? how long ago was it that you wrestled
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/16/02 03:40 AM
drew, he wrestled 152 at fall brawl and i think wasnt cutting very much weight at all. He is either going 145 or 152, i would seriously doubt it if he went 160. yeah he has gotten pretty big, he is a going to have a great season this yr.
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/16/02 07:30 PM
i saw that daniel(chino) elstrode is ranked 4th at 119 as of 12/16. i heard he was going 112 but the rankings say different. Anyone know the truth?
Posted By: yme Re: johnson county classic - 12/16/02 08:36 PM

Posted By: smnwrestling Re: johnson county classic - 12/20/02 12:31 AM
Don't overlook Chaz Hill from SMNW as a contender for the 135 pound championship. He looked pretty impressive taking first last weekend, and I predict he and Sultani will have an amazing match for first and an amazing rivalry this year.
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/20/02 01:05 AM
my bad spring hill fans, i totally forgot about corey bloodgood. he has been wrestling really well from what it seems, already winning two tournaments. I wouldnt be suprised at all if he took the classic, but wright and swander will give him a good fight for the title.
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/20/02 01:07 AM
yeah, sultani and hill will probably be one of the more interesting rivarlies this yr. another sms/smnw rivarly a yr ago was andrew tyson(sms) and blake trullinger(smnw), but im hoping that the sms guy will be doing the winning this time.

i'm sure zach's coach is pleased with the comment on him and beer, as that comment could land him out of the state tournament.
Posted By: Sherlock Re: johnson county classic - 12/20/02 05:39 PM
Is the classic at Blue Valley or Blue Valley West this year?
Posted By: yme Re: johnson county classic - 12/20/02 05:44 PM
Blue Valley (159th and Metcalf)
Posted By: cblood Re: johnson county classic - 12/22/02 03:49 PM
thanks ben,
i ended up taking 3rd over Swander. I lost a close match to Corey Wright to go to the finals. It sucked cause my chin kept bleeding.
Posted By: rocknraider Re: johnson county classic - 12/22/02 05:01 PM
