Matt Mock wants to know what everyone thinks about him winning state at HWT in 6A...haha
hmmm...ill put it this way. if Venegas hadnt wigged out this shoulder at state, matt mock wouldnt be a state champ. that is a fact.
Listen here man...I almost beat Venegas my junior year, until he caught and pinned me...but either way Venegas wasn't there, and I am a state champion....your not!
Bwahahahahahaha. Man, we can definitely see the integrity shown by a very humble Mr. Mock here...
I actually think Mock would have given him a good match, and maybe he would have won. Venegas was not AMAZING, although he was quite talented. Was he a great heavyweight? I don't know if he was as good as Fraggle, Polansky, or Beltran, but he was pretty good. But then again, he did lose to G-Stizzle...
Venegas was not a nice guy...and he talked about himself a lot the forum (and whereas I do the same, I am not serious) under a different name. Way uncool. Of course, Mock talks about how cool he is in person...bad form, both of you.
And you're both lucky Philbert has yet to unleash his wrath on the heavyweight world.
Best be careful not to "MOCK" him....hahahaha
When Venegas would talk about himself he would try to act like he wasn't Venegas and talk himself up, when in fact everyone knew it was him. Tres Stupide.

just wanting some sir up about who everyone thinks will place at highschool nationals this year like gardner venegas hemmerling and all the other seniors around the state
And Mock read that he was being insulted so he became a member and posted so as to make sure everyone knew who the big man of the state was. When I say big I mean BIG. But no matter how you look at it, they could both pound me into the ground.
I could outrun you big boys, I know that. Also, you big-uns couldn't handle the Captain Planet-like being created at the mergence of forum forces of a Prant Garker and myself...
Venegas would have smacked Mock in the finals. Sure, Mock was and is good, but he wasn't at all better than Venegas. Mock just would not have won.
There's only one way to solve this little problem. Mock vs. Venegas in a no-holds-barred cage match. Winner gets his weight in either BBQ hot wings or Chipolte burritos.
If this were the late 90's Mock would have taken a whoopin throughout the state at Heavy....Polansky, Whetstone, Razor, Casteel...I don't know who Venegas has lost too, but Mock, c'mon even the papers know when you lose....granted a great wrestler.....
At heavyweight, Norton's Michael Sprigg tied unbeaten Matt Mock of Wichita South 1-1 at the end of regulation. Both wrestlers were called for stalling midway in the overtime, sending the match to the tiebreaker, where Sprigg scored an escape for the win
Yes, those heavies were all pretty stacked...however, the era of the great heavy may be over for a while in Kansas...'tis a shame, since it's always so fun to watch the fatties rumble and place bets on when whose boob will fall out of their singlet.
For those of you who say that Venegas would have won this year- you are wrong. Not because he's not a good wrestler, but because of the Heavy Curse. Much like the BoSox or Cubbies, it's quite abnormal for a heavyweight to win twice in a row, at least in 6a. I think Beltran may have done it, but aside from him no one has won it more than once for the past 10 years or so, I believe.
Sadly, for everyone involved, I think we have about as good of a chance of seeing an all-star heavyweight as Niederee has of losing his gargantuan bum. Man, that thing was classic. And gross.
My only loss last year was to Vogeli from Kapaun, who I slapped in the senior classic 5-1
 Yeah, but you never had to wrestle Fat Pat or Philbert.
We all agree that you're a fine wrestler, sir. However, you seem to us as somewhat of a braggart. Venegas had a somewhat abbrasive personality, and I encourage you to change your ways and not end up with the same reputation. I don't think you understand: on the forum, we don't care about who won or who lost. All we care about is that you can spell, that you're funny, and that you have a cool avatar. (And you're not a D to the .) So lighten up.
Besides, I thought you fat guys were supposed to be jolly.
Oh dear. I fear I may have committed a TERRIBlE sin.
You see, in the above post, I spelled the word "abrasive" with two b's, thus making it "abbrasive." Now while I don't think I did this on purpose, either way it is unacceptable. I would like to thank KCWrestlersMom, who pointed this out in a private message, so as not to shame me publicly. I appreciate your willingness to help me fix the problem behind closed doors, but I figured that since I always point out spelling mistakes of others, it is only fair that I have my own pointed out.
So thank you, KCWrestlersMom. You have done me a great service.
And Mock and Venegas still can't hang with the heavies of the late 90's.
What do you guys think of Kevin Pulliam, that mammoth from Harmon? That guy was a beast and he even beat Venegas two out of three times when Adam was a junior.
he was one super athletic dude. He was light on his feet like a 103lber and was quick as hell. i saw him absolutely just destroy the mizzou heavy at the metro classic. It was sick watching him pick the guy apart.
wow, boo to the moderators...
down with censorship esta no muy bien, and i agree w/ prant mock does sound like a to the . And does any one remember why Jhris Cennings was slaughtered by the opressive ones...I do, i just dont have the testicular fortitude to repeat those words.
Oh nonono, Ifeelfat. I was not stating the Mr. Mock was being a "D to the _______." I simply recommended that he not become one, and thus face forum ridicule. You see, I'm only looking out for his best interests.
And mad props to Kevin Pullium for being a tailback. I would have loved to see that. Fat guys running. Good times.
All I have to say is both boys should be very greatful that I wasn't wrestling heavyweight this year. I considered it at the beginning, however, I had a hard time weighing more than 150. Again both should be very happy they graduated cause I'm going after that heavyweight title this year.
In my opinion Venegas would beat Mock noo questions asked and in fact ibet that in december Venagas would go to Chanute and have a match to set this matter straght. If you want to call to set this up mock i am a close friend of him and personally garantee this. here is my # 913-731-0759. The challenge is thrown down.
can we make it a three way. I'll take Mock, and then Venagas can have the winner.
Only if I can be the ref.
Venegas is already penalized one point for having the cliche USA Wrestling tattoo on his calf.
And Mock is penalized one point for having someone create a topic about himself, then proceeding to brag about how #1 he is.
And Manion is penalized one point for being from Wichita Heights. Jerk Falcons.
I declare myself the winner.
We can't just have 1 challenge off match....I propose some more Fatty clashes....I want to see a couple more big boy battles old 215 and 275lbers before this one:
D.Parker v. C. Casteel
A.Ubben v. J.Beltran
S.Coleman v. J.Boyle
A.Whetstone v. J.Razor
D.Lee v. J.J. Shields
M.Vogelsberg v. J.Carroll
That would be quite delicious.
But where is the mention of Garker in this list of top fatties?
I believe Aaron Sweazy is listed on the Central Oklahoma wrestling roster for last season at 197/HWY. Surely Sweazy would like to be in the competition, and perhaps could meet Garker in a pigtail match to determine who advances.
Prant I must warn you, Aaron had a record last year of 1 win and 7 losses. Of the 7 losses 4 were by fall and 1 by tech fall.
I do not recall Sweazy on the Varsity roster, and believe his competition was in open tournaments.
I wrestled a few varsity competitions....I lost to:
197
Las Vegas Invitational
Brian Kraemer of Wisconsin (rankend)LBF
James Mundy of Iowa Central 5-0
Nico Koliastasis (NAIA runner up) LBF
Open Losses came to
CMSU Open (HWT)
Missouri's Karl Person Techfall
and Missouri Baptists' Claude Robinson (NAIA national qualifier)LBF
Ou Open
LBF to Kevin Hoy of Air Force (D1 runner up to Mocco) by fall
and to some guy from Dana college that was a National qualifier....
Glad to hear somebody kept such good track of my college career...thanks for your support Coach Salyer!
Sweazy:
The post was not intended as a slam, you had the courage to step on the mat and should be commended.
I remember certain posts regarding Dustin May, and several others, which I believed to be in poor taste, and I felt I should research your accomplishments in order to ascertain your qualifications.
Again, no slam intended, and feel free to volunteer for the contest.
How DARE you, Mr. Salyer! To insinuate that I would need a pigtail match to even be allowed in the tournament! This is blasphemy indeed, and rest assured if I were a moderator, you would get The Boot for such slanderous and obviously untrue remarks. For shame.
Need I remind you that I had a record of 14-11 as a 215er? Need I remind you that in a World Series of wrestle-offs with the infamous Jhris Cennings I won by a score of 4-3? Need I remind you that I made Chase Verdorn (national runner-up) BLEED?
A pigtail match, Mr. Salyer? I believe what you MEANT to say was a bye into the championship match...I'll accept your apology whenever you choose to offer it.
Oh, and I think we can safely remove Destrick Lee from the competition. He was a state champ, yes, but would he have defeated either A.J. Polansky from Manhattan or Calvert Chaney of Wyandotte?
And I believe we should also remove Scott Coleman from this debate, seeing as how he wrestled 171 as senior. (If we're going by how they performed in high school, that is.) He didn't discover the joy of being a fatty until later in life. Any thoughts on who might replace him?
How about Darryl Zimmerman from Concordia. He was a total manster.
One more match, a Zach Hemmerling vs. Gerrad Speer clash of the titans.
Ok I'm just going to mix and match weights as according to what people weighed in high school keeping it somewhat close (and considering what some people probably weigh now)....I'd like to see
"One Eyed" Joe Nelson
v.
Gerrad "watch out for the"Speer

"One Legged *** Kicker" Earl Jones
v.
Jake "the snake"Kreigbaum

Darryl "Rookie Champ" Zimmerman
v.
Andrew "Uba-Chucka, Uba" Ubben
one quick question mr. garker......how is it you volunteer to officiate something I looked forward to my entire life (which would be win a big match) and dedignify my whole being by declaring yourself the winner. It hurts......
I show no remorse to anyone from Heights, who obviously made a deal with Satan and scored 21 points in the final 81 seconds (don't ask me how it happened, Satan is the only answer) my senior year in districts. You're lucky I haven't burned your school to the ground, sir.
I can respect your frustration there, however, I don't understand why that would conflict my opportunity to triumph. I wish you and your Mahnhattan Indian heritage would just leave this alone
It would conflict your opportunity to triumph because anyone from Wichita Heights is my mortal enemy.

JEFF BOYLE wins this hands down. If you don't believe me just ask Pamon Darker, who at one time had a man crush on said Mr. Boyle.
Coachtwink, I think it's safe to say that Pamon Darker has had a man-crush on MANY a guy, so your point has no substance.
I had not taken that into account. Regardless of the # of man-crushes Pamon has had, Boyle would walk through that bracket. I simply chose the wrong example.
Thanks for setting me straight.
I would have to agree with slydogg an i bet venagas would open a good ol fashion can of whoop on ur *** too. If venagas wouldnt have messed his shoulder up the day before he would have been crowned state champ.
I agree with coachtwink that none of those guys stand a chance with Boyle. Also, I wrestled Scott Coleman and he would probably beat 80% of the others on the list even at 171 pounds.
Speer should be considered for the list. I beat him in a tough match ( 13-4 ) when I was a junior and he was still young, a fresh or soph. I could tell he was going to be good and he ended up a great wrestler.
several years back there was an upper weight kid from Atwood that won the Senior Nationals in Pa. named Scott Urban. Don't really know how he would have stacked up against Speer, but he was certainly the real deal at the time, About 1990 or so.
any of u of cats know who dominic roberson from newton is. He was ranked pretty highly in state at 215lber and ended up choking, taking 6th at state in 2000 (i think). I ask this because the rude son of a gun lives a few doors down on my hall. I get a "how hard his 5A bracket was so tough and how 6A's was so weak big guy" lecture about once a week. Anyone have any memories or comments on that dude.
