Anyone know how to get ahold of some spring time oldtimer tourneys?? I've been to silver lake,(good tourney)just looking for a few others... thanks...!!
I know in the past Marysville has had a good one with people coming from FHSU and down from Nebraska....
heard that Salina South may have one...
marysville no longer has one.
I think Abilene, Salina South, or Manhattan would be able to hold some pretty good Old Timer tourney's if they wanted to...I'd like to see a few in the summer to prep for Sunflower State Games or come up with just an OPEN tournament and send out invites to college and oldtimers alike, and have it in early to late January when there are lots of guys in backup collegiate roles pretty much done on the year looking for competition.
Speaking of sunflower... Any of you guys know where to get entry forms for that?? thanks

Wellington High School is having an Old Timers Tournament April 3rd 2004.
If you are an oldtimer you can compete in Opens around the area that are still to come for the year...the closest I know of is the Missouri Valley Open, some decent competition there...I'll have to see if there are other Opens going on anywhere.
Ya ol'jesse meisch told me there was going to be one.. just didn't know when... MO'valley is a drive and a half though...
Osawatomie will have an oldtimers on Sat. April 10th. For a flyer email me at:

We've had a great time (and raised a few bucks for the kid's club here in OZ) the last couple of years with lot of good competition. Just check the results page from last years to see. Hope to see you on the 10th of April.

Wts: 18-25: 125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 195, 225, 250, HWT
26-35: 130, 140, 150, 170, 195, 225. 250, Hwt
36+: 135, 145, 155, 175, 195, 230, 255,HWT
Periods 18-25= 1min 1min 1.5 min w/ 1 min breal between matches
All other ages are : 1 min 1 min 30 sec w/ 1 min rest between matches.
Award for 1-3rd in each wt class
Cost $20
And everyone will have to sign a liablilty waiver.
Let me know on here what all of oyu think and if there is alot of intrest I will get this organized!!!!!
Kudos to the Osawatomie Oldtimers tourney. Lots of good competition last year and we had lots of fun. Very wrestler friendly!!! Hope to see lots of people there.
I think that the old timers tournament in Dodge City sounds like a great idea. I would do it if this happens.
CMSU in Warrensburg has two opens every year. One is in the begining of November and the other is about mid January.
