When is the national signing day for Wrestling?
Posted By: acbulldog Re: Signing Day - 03/30/05 12:29 AM
In juco you can sign when ever you want. Are you still planning on going to Colby?
Posted By: JordonB_184 Re: Signing Day - 03/30/05 01:36 AM
You cannot sign whenever you want in JUCO. I signing date is April 8 after then you can sign.

If you are going to go there anyway, you might as well try to wrestle for them or stay active in the wrestling community while out there.

I would encourage you to wrestle if you can work it into your schedule, I was awful at it but really had a good time there a few decades ago, and I am sure that the potential is there to still have a good time, your weight area is full of very carnivorous fellows so gird thy loins with heavy armor!

You gotta keep wrestling, so you can stay in shape for our tag team matches.

Tag Team, ahh yes, I will always be in attendance to those events barring it's not this summer (as I am working on a harvest crew so I will not be around), but I will talk to Lampe when I got Colby for enrollment.

Bronco Wrestler -

My own two cents, for what it's worth, is that you should absolutely go for it. I'm only three years out of college, but I could have told you even at the midpoint of my freshman year at Baker that I had made a mistake in not pursuing wrestling in college. For the longest time, I dwelled on it as if it was going to be the biggest regret I'd ever have in my life.

I don't know how things would have worked out at all had I gone on to wrestle. I don't know if it would have been fun, if I would have found any sort of success, or even if I would have ended up being some throwing dummy for an All-American. What I do know is that for a long time the questions that remain unanswered kept making my heart beat faster and faster whenever I thought about them. Two guys that I hammered my senior year in high school went on to be DII national qualifiers. What if?

The point is, give it a shot. You can always transfer, leave the team, etc. You can't go back in time and correct the error.

Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.

I spent two years at a juco and missed it (didn't offer wrestling), I'm glad I got back into it!

Anybody sign yet?

I'm interested to see where both Cornejo and Baldridge are going.

On a completely related note: Hofstra University looks wonderful in the springtime.....

Was it me or did I see on themat.com where a college added a wrestling team? they had recruits in all 10 weight classes so I am just guessing they added it. Nice to see not everyone is dropping it.

If you're going to Colby...well, let's just say as a grad of Colby High, there's not much else to do but go to classes and sports. Don't know what you're going to Colby for (major), but there's not much to do besides become a Wal-Mart/Truck stop rat...Wrestle while you can! Besides, Colby's a good program!!!

I heard Baldridge could be in a red singlet next year with a mascot like the guys who just picked the pope.
Posted By: kansas kid Re: Signing Day - 04/20/05 01:54 PM
And do you have a credible source. LOL!
Posted By: JaRenfro Re: Signing Day - 04/20/05 05:15 PM
Lets just say I heard it from a "big bird".

Is that bird going to get the other two Campus prospects to come along?
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Signing Day - 04/21/05 03:25 AM
Swayz- You think they want to win another national title or something? lol
Posted By: JaRenfro Re: Signing Day - 04/21/05 12:47 PM
I have a feeling the "big bird" would not send either one away, but I think there is only one of the last 2 that is showing interest.
Posted By: kansas kid Re: Signing Day - 04/25/05 01:55 PM
Of course he would Coach JaRenfro.

Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Signing Day - 04/26/05 02:18 AM
He's pretty well convinced on going to Newman I think. He's got a couple options, but Newman is where he's leaning towards.
Posted By: Curtis Chenoweth Re: Signing Day - 04/26/05 03:17 AM
Thank you Alex. Just in case anybody is wondering, Alex is my agent. Every choice I make, goes through him. He's sure to know whats best. lol.
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Signing Day - 04/26/05 06:44 PM
that is true, i signed on to be his full time agent, not really, i just happened to be on at the time when it was posted and replied as Chenoweth didn't see it. Glad I could be of some service.

Alex Ryan
(Chenoweth's agent)

Seriously Curtis, have you made up your mind where you are going and we missed you at practice last night.
Posted By: Curtis Chenoweth Re: Signing Day - 04/28/05 12:47 AM
Sorry, had to go to a city council meeting for school. I'll hopefully be there tomorrow. And not yet. Waiting to talk to some people.
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Signing Day - 04/28/05 06:54 PM
You have to go to those things too? They are about as entertaining as watching paint dry
Posted By: Curtis Chenoweth Re: Signing Day - 04/29/05 01:34 AM
Yeah they are. And next week I have to go to a school board meeting.
