Posted By: Boyd Im looking to get back in to wrestling - 04/28/09 02:54 PM
I just returned from the military and now I am trying to return to wrestling at the college level. I graduated in 2004 from BVNW in overland park Ks. My name is Benjamin Boyd after I left BVNW I went on to Newman University in Ks. I got injured and left for the military. If any one out ther could help or give me any information I would thank you.
Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas is starting a program. The first season is the upcoming 2009/2010 season. Get on the Baker University website and go to athletics and the wrestling page. There is a e-mail address and phone number for the new coach Jimmy May. I would suggest that you contact him if you are interested since there will be good opportunities at Baker University in their first year of the program.

Besides Baker University, other very good Kansas wrestling schools to look into for yourself would be:

Fort Hays State University NCAA D-II
Newman University NCAA D-II

Community Colleges:

Colby
Labette
Neosho County
Pratt

Schools with good club teams:

Kansas State University
Wichita State University

I apologize if I missed any Kansas colleges with current wrestling programs. Hopefully some others will fill in any missing schools that I did not mention.
