I hope this does not come across as arrogant. But I am real proud of my boy. His hard work, aggressive style and his ethic in the classroom is now paying off for him.

What an outstanding all-around good person! Kendric is very deserving of this varsity opportunity at OU. Kendric was fun to watch in high school and I wish him the best of luck the rest of his time at OU.

I made the trip to Norman last Friday to watch this match. Man there was some good wrestling on both parts. OU is much better than the recent years. They went 4-6 with Iowa State who is #2 ranked and in my opinion kind of blew it at heavyweight when he had a lead in the last overtime and decided to shoot a double with 8 seconds left. It happens.

Kendric did lose 13-6. However, he did score the first takedown and was within 2 pts in the 3rd period. He was in deep on more shots but seemed to gas out. Took him to dinner afterward and he thought the weight cut got him. He still is not used to that weight but will get better. I am proud of this young man and it put a smile on my face to see him run out of the tunnel and onto the mat in an OU uniform.

Good luck next week against Nebraska and Missouri!

Coach Church
Sounds like you've got a couple of your boys doing well at the next level! Looking at the results Nelson is tearing it up in the Juco ranks.

Yeah, Chase seems to be doing okay....31-2 this year. Undefeated since his first college tourney, 17 pins, 4 Techs...yeah, he's doing okay.

They have some of the greatest minds in sports as their coaches in college! I am glad they had the opportunities they have and they are making the most of it! If I had to guess, I'll be sitting with my friends watching them both at the NCAA's in the upcoming years.

Wow! That's really impressive. Chase was also a great wrestler to watch in high school. I'm glad he and Kendric are seeing success at the next level. They deserve to do well and I can't wait to see them competing for national championships. Good luck guys.
