Here's what I have going for a fs club:

Spring / Summer 2005

Team Matside Freestyle Club and Clinic Series
Monday, Tues, Thursday
6pm to 7:30pm
@ Gardner Wrestling Shed
Sessions starting as soon as March 14.
Head coach Eric Akin
$175 pays for USAW card, a Zach Roberson clinic, a Shawn Bunch clinic, dual competitions, team shirt, and 4 local Akin clinics.

Wrestlers I've talked to who plan on being members and my workout partners include: Neil Erisman, Ryan Moyer from Park Hill, Aldon Eisenberg from Gardner, the Baker's from BV, the Madls from BV, Zack Bailey, the Nay brothers, and some others from Oak Park.

Zach Roberson, Jason Powell, and I are scheduling periods when they will be in to train with me and other partners in prepartion for US Nationals, World Team Trials, and Real Pro Wrestling events.

We hope to get some tough workout partners from East Kansas and Kansas City Wrestling Club now
and then too.

Coaches and clinicians I've talked to about coaching a practice here and there include: Scott Rieck - Jr Natl team coach, Mike Medina - Matside assistant, Tom Peterman - Cadet Director, Randy Smith - Competitors/Oak Park, Jason Powell, Joe Johnston, Justin Dyer, Shawn Bunch, Zach Roberson, Tanner Gardner, Jacob Klein.

It's things like this that make me wish I was still in High School.


I don't know if you remember this, Eric, but you came to Hutchinson a few years ago to put on a clinic in the wrestling room at the High School. Well, I think that that one clinic helped me greatly.

Sounds great. Count Garret in.

Big Aldon really gave Garret a big boost out there last summer, and I can hardly imagine what this summer holds.

You and Mike P and Mike M really made a huge difference for Garret this year.

I sincerely thank you, and can't say it enough!!

Ya know, you and Mike P muscled me out as his idle, and then Mike M has to step in and put me another rung down.

But I couldn't have picked better replacements myself...and don't forget, I'm still better lookin...old, bald, and fat has it's own beauty.

Matside Freestyle starts tonight, March 14th at the Gardner Wrestling shed--which is located behind the Wheatridge Middle School football field, off of Madison Street in Gardner, KS.
The time is from 6-7:30 pm--Mon, Tues & Thurs.

The Matside Wednesday clinic series also starts this wednesday, March 16th at Olathe Northwest HS, from 6-8pm. These clinics will feature different wrestlers throughout the season.

Clinic #1(mar 16th)--will feature Eric Akin
Clinic #2(mar 23rd)--will feature Jason Powell
the cost of these clinics are $15/wrestler

Keep bringing Garret around. He's a really hard worker. Good luck at state.
