Was is Cozart or Holley that beat Neil? If it was Cozart, what was the score? Cozart is 234-9 from Florida and is going to Michigan St. His High School team has a 413 match dual-meet streak!
I think Neil said Cozart 7-1 (3 of those points came in the final seconds, when Neil took a gamble).
CR, you guys should come out to a practice at Matside in Gardner Middle School Field House - Mon/Tues/Thurs, 6-8 PM.
It was a great match! Neil took Rocky down in the first period with a single leg that took about 4-5 counter moves before finally obtaining control. He had a couple of other attempts that went out of bounds that we thought were questionalble but hey they were going at it.
Rocky got two gutwrenches in the second period and with 8-9 seconds left Neil tried a double-leg blast and got launched, those who have seen Cozart wrestle know what I'm talking about. I call him Cape Kanevaral he is a launching pad.
Neil will have to train hard in the next few weeks cause Rocky 6 was a battle, at Junior Duals Rocky 7 will be a war, but come Fargo time Rocky 8 will be a life altering experience. The Journey has begun........Destination top of the Fargo Podium. Let me cut'em Mick,
God I love this time of the year, Trianing hard to compete against the best in the Nation.
Go Kansas

Also I saw in Vegas; Bunch and Johnny Thompson go at it. Bunch won the first period with a sweet low single and then one of his lightning fast ducks that shook the heads of everyone. Johnny came back in the second period and the third went to the new funky single leg clinch..........wasn't good.
Robersons' first match against DeAndra was a bad call also, but he got'em back later.
Saw some great wrestling and by some tough ol' Kansas boys also.
Ludeke
Kreigbaum
Gardner
Still would have been nice to see a few more.
Tyler Adcock was there..
Alot of them Missouri boys.....
O'Donnel
Bailey
Moore's
Caputo
Haines.............. just to name a few.....
Coach Peterman
Thanks for the blow by blow coach. Has Neil ever beat Rocky? Looking forward to seeing Neil's career. We all knew he would go far. Next years state title and then off to Division I...
Congrats to Luedke, Kriegbaum and Gardner!
Neil really is a great guy (even with you and Eric in his corner...LOL). No, seriously, I watch him and you guys train...it's inspiring. He has such a great work ethic, great talent, great heart, great character, and great coaching. I see him pay his dues everyday. We are pulling for him...no doubts here that he will take it all!
I am also impressed by the wealth of knowledge you guys provide. The challenge you offer to the kids and the patience you so naturally display really drives the enthusiastic atmosphere. You can't find any better place to practice than Matside.
Moreover, it's the best environment anyone could hope for. Garret is really drawn to great leadership - athletes and/or coaches.
You guys have once again raised that bar, providing an environment that motivates my son and inspires me to do my best by him.
Thanks for letting us share in the excitement.
No that was the first time Neil had wrestled Rocky, but they had drilled and practiced together before. We have known Cozarts from back in the school boy days when Neil was on the Florida team at the Indiana Schoolboy Festival. I was impressed with Rocky's skills then, he had a great reverse body lift, but now he is just an all around Terror! It will take a lot of work and a little bit of luck to hoe that road. But that is what I love about this sport, you set a goal, work for it, and then just go for it.
Hey Eric is the man! I learn so much from him on continuing basis.
Its fun just being there.
See you at Practice...........
