The way I understand it we have four spots to fill at each weight and an additional spot for at a weight where Kansas placed someone in the top four at a regional.
Can someone report all of the Kansas Regional Placers for Cadets(and in a seperate post for Juniors)so we can identify how many spots we have to fill? Subsequently it would be great to see who has signed up to go. There may be some interested wrestlers out there who would love to experience the greatest high school wrestling tournament in the country. It is only $450 and that is a killer bargain! You get a camp, transportation to Fargo, rooms at Fargo, Cool gear, and a ringside seat for 20 plus mats for nonstop wrestling! (Oklahoma charges $1600!!!!)

Lets break the Kansas record for the most wrestlers from Kansas ever!
Does a wrestler have to stay at the same weight that they qualified for or can they drop to a lower weight at fargo?
I believe if they are dropping there has to be a spot open for them to drop into. The coaches will be doing alot of juggling I am sure.

99% sure that Spencer will be going at either 160 or 152, if I can find him a ride back. He was 3rd in both greco and freestyle at Southern Plains at 160. Matt Reed was 1st in greco and 4th in FS at Southern Plains at 160.
The rule for Regionals:
CADET & JUNIOR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS: BOTH DIVISIONS are open to ALL wrestlers that meet the necessary age requirements. Top three place winners at this event qualify for your state’s Cadet & ASICS/Vaughan Junior National Championship (in Fargo, ND; July 18—25, 2009) teams above the state limit (in the age division in which you qualify). Athletes must still adhere to all state policies and you qualify in the style in which you place.
So all those guys who placed at Southern Plains and the other regionals need to be on the team. They do not count on the 4 wrestlers per weight class.

If someone could list the top 3 placers from Kansas in any Regionals it would help us see where we could add a 5th wrestler.
Cut and paste this in an email to all of your wrestling buddies. Three weeks to get in shape for the best HS tournament in the country!!
There are lots of spots open. Start training today and call Coach Garcia or Coach Peterman and get signed up!!
I am in Oregon right now but will be back in town next Monday the 6th. Will send out another email next Tuesday and be calling those I do not communicate with via email for any questions they may have and double check on validation for the most awesome warriors in the Nation.
Go Kansas!

Updated this morning by Coach Peterman. Kansas has a long history of sending some of the toughest little dudes in the country to Fargo. Where are the 84 and 91 pounders?? Lets make some phone calls and fill up this roster.
Also on the list are CJ Ikenberry and D'Juan Thomas of STA, although D'Juan is a Junior, I think.
Here is the latest update as of Friday July 10:
We lost Zack at heavyweight.
Alot of Open spots give me a call if you would like to go even if you did not qualify or wrestle at State, we need wrestlers and this is a chance of a lifetime.
