Thank you to all the coaches and parents for their help. The kids did a great job. They wrestled very tough, were respectful and well behaved the entire trip.

The national dual events are very demanding on the kids - physically and mentally. It is just tough wrestling kids at that level for four days in a row. However, in the end, the wins and losses are not what is important, it is going through the process that is important. Of course that is much easier said than done for both wrestlers and parents.

By then end on Saturday each of the boys was clearly better than when they started. They may have not felt that better about thier wrestling, but you could see they were better. Everyone of these boys competed to their utmost during the four days. The wrestlers, coaches and parents have every right to feel proud of how they represented Kansas.

I want to thank all the coaches for working so hard with little to no pay or recognition. I also want to thank Tami Porsch and Matt Treaster for filming matches. Additionally, I want to point out two kids that I hosted at my house Braiden Lynn and Brett Bober. Both were very polite kids.... they wrestled great ... their parents should be doubly proud.
