Welcome to the pack of stripes!!! ;-)
I am a registered official and on the Ks. Wrestling Officials Assoc. board and would like to further encourage you to keep up in the field of wrestling.
The KWOA will have a clinic on Saturday, Nov. 6th and we'll also have a rules meeting and cover the test and answers as an assoc. You even have the chance to get Kids wrestling certified too!!! It is at the El Dorado VFW and begins at 8am and is usually over about 5-6pm.
Contact

Welcome again and if I can help, contact me.
Hey what do i have to do to become a ref? is it too late to certify as one or what?
To certify as an official, you must attend a rules meeting. The last rules meeting this year was held on November 6, so it is too late for you to become certified this year. Some club tournaments will utilize uncertified officials, so you might contact some tournament directors in your area to see if they might be looking for an official.
You can find additional information on becoming an official at the
KSHSAA website . To become Kids' certified, you must obtain your high school certification, plus attend an additional Kids' rules meeting immediately following the high school meeting.
what score on the officals test do we have to get to ref regular season tournaments
90% or higher. The state will let you know if you didn't score high enough to be certified, which you should be for varsity level anything (duels or tourneys). Rick Bowden is real good about letting you know if you're not certified.
