Looking at buying a new vehicle, or trading in for a new used one. I currently have a 2000 Pontiac Montana, a piece of junk if you want my opinion. I need the family vehicle that can transport other folks. Truth is, transporting folks to and from wrestling events is the most important thing about the vehicle. Need to be able to transport at least 5 comfortably. I have narrowed it down to the following. The vehicle, Invoice Price, MSRP, and mileage. I have broke them down to Compact SUV’s and Mini Vans. Any one have any experience with any of these vehicles and your thoughts. Appreciate it, by the way did tell you that the 2000 Pontiac Montana is a piece of junk.

Compact SUV’s

2005 Toyota RAV4 - 17,641 / 19,050 / 24/30
2006 Ford Escape – 18,120 / 19,380 / 24/29
2006 Mazda Tribute – 18,826 / 20,115 / 24/29
2006 Honda CR-V – 18,847 / 20,395 / 23/29
2005 Jeep Liberty – 18,307 / 19,480 / 21/26
2006 Mitsubishi Outlander – 17,439 / 18,499 / 22/28
2005 Mitsubishi Outlander – 16,974 / 17,999 / 22/28
2006 Kia Sportage – 15,150 / 15,900 / 22/27
2005 Kia Sportage – 15,150 / 15,900 / 22/27
2006 Saturn VUE – 16,052 / 17,390 / 23/29
2005 Hyundai Tuscon – 16,449 / 17,499 / 22/27
2006 Hyundai Tuscon – 16,446 / 17,495 / 22/27

Mini Vans

2006 Dodge Caravan – 17,341 / 18,380 / 20/26
2005 Dodge Caravan - 17,341 / 18,380 / 20/26

Personal opinions only: You usually can't go wrong with a Toyota or Honda (dependability, fuel mileage, safety features, etc..)
I can tell you our company currently uses the Jeep Liberty as one of our company vehicles. They're not very comfortable and have a lot of "road noise" to deal with. On the good side, there's decent storage in the back. Good luck!

I'd go Ferrari. The kids can walk.

Or you could go to the other extreme & get an old beater pickup with a "slide in" camper. Now that would be a classic!

Get a mini RV! That way we all can camp in it on road trips!

Seriously though....

Get something you can lug a lot of people and stuff in for roadtrips.

The RAV4 can fit five people, but not on a long trip. Let Nathan take a test ride in the middle of the back seat, he's one of the few people that would fit back there. It has more room in the back than the Liberty. It's a great vehicle, I just don't think it would take five on a road trip very comfortably.

We were actually thinking of putting Nathan on the luggage rack. Just kidding of course, thanks to all for the info, keep it coming as we are still looking and evaluating.
