First, let me thank those of you who have been concerned recently over my health (physically speaking) and my well-being (mentally speaking)!

Yesterday, I had a little surgery to correct some nerve damage in my foot. I am expecting to make a full recovery!!

To remove any speculation as to how this injury occurred ... I will tell you. As you may or may not recall, recently I had an encounter in the woods with Waunita.

During a submission match with Waunita, she applied to foot lock on me. Of course, I had a knee bar on her at the same time. I wouldn't quit and neither would she! But as a result, I sustained a bit of nerve damage.

So while I am recouping at home, I may decide to reveal even more of the "Legend of Waunita!"

Are you sure it wasn’t the spinnin toe hold? Waunita perfected this move while traveling around in the red Cadillac with the Funk brothers and Harley Race during the late 70’s.

The first time I encountered the she devil Waunita, we were drinking Lone stars at Dick’s Dive in Amarillo TX. This fine establishment was owned by “Dirty” Dick Murdoch who memoralized the legends of men who had made their marks on Texas Panhandle wrestling history. Waunita was a regular with this crowd! Dusty Rhoads and Jerry Briscoe were her favorites.
