Kansas Wrestling
For those that don't know 2 weeks from today, September 26, 2007, this story is going to be featured on The Virtual Pew Live radio program. Seriously, no kidding; included will be eye witness testimony and more. The title of the program is The Legend of Waunita from Kansas. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this story once and for all. We will take live calls and would appreciate any eyewitness testimony. Is this the fabrication of someone’s imagination, or is it real? I could possible set the program up for later in the evening if better for everyone, but I have already told my initial guests that the program will air during these times.

By the way the program airs every Wednesday at 4:00 PM CST and last one hour. Archived shows are also available.
Tonight is the night! Finally the truth will be revealed ... well, perhaps!!
Swayz has been very quiet leading up to this broadcast. Maybe he will call in and shine some light on those Abilene nights...
I have a meeting until 5:30 and won't be able to call in. I was looking forward to sharing those stories about Waunita. If there is anyone else out there that attended any of her three weddings, let everyone know about those twinkie and hoho wedding cakes!
I hope to join in provided we can get Kane home today, there have been some hints that is about to happen and provide us a much needed relief.

Klint
Another Waunita story...

She won $3 million in the lottery and wanted it to last a long time, so on Swayz's advice, she elected to take $3 a year for a million years.

She has always regretted that.
Yes, at 4:PM today, the reveal will start. Of course the show will also be available via archive. Hopefully there will be numerous calls that come in.
Special thanks to Roscoe and Klint for helping out today. There was a few other calls at the end of the program, both from Kansas that I was unable to get to, sorry about that. For those that want to listen, they can do so by going to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thevirtualpew and listen to the archives.

Hopefully the program answers the questions of some, and for others, provides a good entertaining hour.
I just listened to the replay. Nice job guys! The "knuckles dragging" and "high-pitched wailing" were hilarious Klint. Roscoe, you were totally believable and heartfelt in your affection for Waunita and Yolanda. Mike's hard questioning pulled the truth out of the Sheriff. The talk of read headed triplets and irritation from a shaved unibrow had me cracking up! Dragging Gonzo into it was also a nice touch!

Klint, Tanner and I might join you guys on your next bigfoot hunt!
It was exhausting, having to truthfully answer Mike's hard questions!! It was like being on the Budweiser Hot Seat on ESPN!!!
I also want to swear out charges on Curtis ... for violating Man Law!!

What happened in Sioux City was suppose to stay on Sioux City!!
I would like to state...it may be possible...that I have substained a few to many blows to the head....BUT, I am at least on no medications, nor am I supposed to be!
Yea like we believe he is on "heart medication" that may be true but there was an awful long delay in the response to the question. I am starting to wonder though if any light was shed on Waunita and Yolanda, or if it only opened up more questions.

Here is a good one, and serious guys, some will hate this, but so far, this is the most listened to show I have done, shattering all listener records for the program. It topped the Rebellion of Thought interview, and the interview with the film makers of that movie is being discussed for an Oscar Nomination for Best Documentary of the Year. I would have never thunk it, but yes, now, the story of Waunita is a world wide phenom.

Yea only about 7,451 as of 8:25PM You also left out Chief who said on this thread that he listened to the program. Oh yea, also if you listened to the program you know Curtis didn't get to listen live as he was at practice, but he did listen to the archives where a lot of others have also listened. Maybe you can go over and listen Richard, a lot of the Kansas wrestling community had some level of contribution to the story, from Coach Red up in Manhattan and a surprising entry from Coach Gonzales that I personally didn't know about. Of course your good friend Aaron Sweazy had a recent episode with Waunita I didn't know about either, at least that is what I heard from Klint and Randy.

Oh yea, last thing, I don't count as a listener as I am the host. Something about how the program tracks ips and all that prevents me from doing that.
To put a twist on a famous phrase

Yes, Richard, there is a Waunita............
Is Yolanda originally from Towanda?
No but she has been there a few times to visit a certain person.
Klint:

I just sent you a private message. A student is looking for some information on the KU Club wrestling team.
