Ok Mike, this is torture for a fat guy on a diet, interesting to watch however, thanks for sharing,
It was one of the few good things on the trip, actually a lot of good things depending on how you look at it. As to the best, Southern Living, People Magazine, Better Home and Gardens and many others state it is, I have never had any nearly as good except for maybe Stutts in Tulsa. We really need to make a trip looking for Wauneta towards Tulsa sometime so I can take you there, not many places in the Midwest as good as there.
I have heard of some good barbecue in the Paola area, anyone knows anything about that? I am always for looking to see if I can find a place better than Ridgewood.
Klint, make sure if you didn't to put the video on high quality when you watch, you can literally see the sauce dripping off the sandwich and I didn't put a drop on it before taking a bite.
Give me til May when i should be down to my fighting weight, and back to eating normal food. I have ate at the place in Paola that was featured on the food network, it is good, but not the best i have had.
Last time i was in Tulsa was in college and ended up at a bar called Sparky's where I got all these guys buying me food and drink, found out later from the security guard that the friendly guys had other intentions that were not too honorable.
That's why you need a friend with you, of course I have my own reputation in Tulsa, and I get along with most all folks there. I know the North Side pretty well which is where Stutts is located. I have people shocked that I go to places like that, but the inner city, so called rough parts of town are pretty much like home to me. Sounds like a date for May or so though, I am working on it this year as well, hitting up the gym later tonight prior to going to my daughters to celebrate Christmas tonight and tomorrow.
ok Mike, will reserve some time in May for a road trip, i think we may want to expand this a bit and do a bbq tour
sounds good to me, I know of a few good places in the Tulsa area.
