Don't forget to get on trackwrestling to sign up for the Emporia Girls Open. Information is posted on the calendar page.
Thanks,
Matt
Is there any allowance for weight or taking weight from Saturday weight ins. My daughter and possibly some of our Novices are wrestling in Caney Saturday and we wish to go to Emporia Sunday. Are there any weigh in concessions or allowances.
Thanks,
Clarification of our Tournament – I have been getting phone calls about the format of our Novice/Girls open.
• We are hosting a Novice tournament. This is open to boys and girls that meet your clubs criteria for a novice wrestler with no wrestler having more than two years of wrestling experience.
• We are hosting a Girls open at the same time. This is open to any girl that wants to participate
The girls can enter both, if they meet the criteria of a novice wrestler. I hope this helps.
Matt
The girls will be blocked in brackets by weight class.
I signed my daughter up for open but this is her first year should I have her do the novice bracket instead? If she does both do you pay for both brackets so $30 or is it still just $15.
Thought I'd bump this to the top of the forum...
This is a really well ran tournament and we really appreciate Emporia Kids Club for providing this opportunity for the third year now!
Olathe tournament went really well and had a good showing of between 40-45 girls. Let's have another good weekend. I am looking forward to seeing all of you there for the Emporia Girls Tournament. Remember to register on track wrestling.
Emporia Girls/Novice Registration Link Thanks,

If the girls do both, it is $25.00. But they must be novice ability. I am going to talk over the pound allowance and post.
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks, Matt. I'm not as concerned about the weight as I am about using our weight ins from Fri/Sat so I don't have to run from Caney to Emporia to weight in on Friday night.
We won't have a Friday weigh-in. There would be a Saturday night one because of the 24 hour rule. I'm working on the details and will try to decide by tomorrow.
Thanks,
is this tournament free style or folk style wrestling ?
Matt;
Have you determined if you will take a weigh in from a Saturday tournament or do we need to make weight for both tournaments?
Thanks,
If at all possible, please weigh in at your home site on Saturday. You have anytime to weigh in between 9:00 a.m Saturday morning and 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening. Please email your weights to this email address magnum811@fairpoint.net. If your participants are involved in a tournament on Saturday, that weigh in will count towards Sunday. We will still have our Saturday weigh in from 6 to 8. EHS is in a dual on Saturday so the weigh ins will be in a separate area than normal. Please watch for the signs.
If you are unable to make this work for your kids, please reply to me today so I can give you information about Sunday morning weigh in. We are wanting to do this so all the brackets are set for you when you walk in the door. I will open up the entries for you to double check.
Does the Tournament start at 9:00 am?
Tourney is shaping up nicely and we have 40 some girls preregistered. I talked to Matt at Emporia and he said we can still add girls but they need to be there by 8 am to get signed up. If you think you want to still get added on call me at 316-990-8914 or email me at edison6@swbell.net

I still don't see my daughter registered on Track. Her name is Quincy Rayls. Did Mark Stanley talk to you about her.
I just got done working on the brackets and I do not see her either...what is her age weight and grade in school?
ms jenni
You need to be there by 7:30 in the morning to get signed up and weighed in for Matt can add you to the brackets...
Hold on, we signed up through our club last week, Mark Stanley told me he talked to Matt about Quincy. We also weighed in at the club and Mark told me he would call Matt with her weigh in results. We cannot be there by 7:30 so I really hope the ball did not get dropped.
