Shawn is looking **** good...can't wait to hear how he does out at Las Vegas this week, Cole is doing well at 133, and not sure if Saferite will get to go or not...either way Silvis is going to have the toughest part of the season way before Nationals...it starts this week!

I believe Chris Saferite will be out approximately three (3) additional weeks. This early return may be optimistic. Chris is recovering from a broken nose and stitches to his cheekbone. Chris had surgery to remove some cartilage and reset his nose. Chris returns to the doctor (this week ?) to remove the tubes placed in his nose and further evaluation.

Chris is a true warrior, as well as a fine young man, and I wish him Godspeed in his quest to return to the mat.

Chris is not eligible I thought for the 1st semester If I'm not mistaken, which should give him ample time to rest up so we can use him come National Duals.

He's not eligible because of grades and he got beat in the challenge match. At least that was the case at the CMSU Tournament. He can wrestle unattached in open tournaments only.

Chris is ineligible the first semester and did lose the challenge to Henning by the overtime score of 6-6. In the new collegiate tiebreaker each wrestler reversed each other and Henning had a little over 5 seconds more riding time to secure the win. Chris beat Henning in last years dual in overtime and either will be a strong contender for Coach James. Hopefully, Chris will heal quickly and return to action. Toughness was never a question with him as I remember picking up both of his front teeth roots and all off the mat. Chris took them shoved back into his mouth and tried to continue wrestling. Later had to remove them and win the regional semifinals.
