Life just got a little better for NE Kansans. Having grown up in OKC and eating at Taco Bueno since the 1960's, I had withdrawal issues when I moved to KS in 1988. A Taco Bueno opened near Topeka a few years ago but it was still 52 miles from my front door. I discovered this weekend that a new Taco Bueno opened in Belton, MO in October. It is 14.4 miles from my office. As the song goes....
Taco Bueno One of life's most surprising rewards Luxury everyone can afford Taco Bueno
All sung perfectly of course.
My diet just took a hit today. What a great country.

I love Bueno, but I love the Taco Shop better after being taken there by Mr. Chenoweth.
Now last night I splurged. Sonic now has chessecake bites that comes with strawberry sauce. This may be the best desert at a fast food resturant, even better than the apple emanada at the bell.

Man. Those nachos on the Taco Shop web site look good. It says the only shop is in Hays? That's 272 miles from my house. I'll have to schedule more tournaments in Hays!

Well, I will just have to do a little comparison of my own. There is a Taco Bueno about 3 miles from me and a Taco Shop about 5 miles away.

Taco Shop, Monday night, all you can eat, of course the specials any night, but the AYCE is the best bet. A stomping ground for wrestlers after the end of season.

Hmmm. 14.4 miles to Bueno and then swing by Sonic on my way back?

The Taco Shop in Hays is not the same as we've got here. By the way, if I leave any kind of tiny legacy in the wrestling world, I'm guessing it will be as the originator of the first ever All you can eat taco challenge last year. Although in it's infancy, it was well represented by Goddard, Bishop Caroll, and Wichita South.
If you're around Wichita, you've got to give Taco Lopez a chance on West Street. The Adovado burrito is top notch. About $3.50 for a burrito the size of a Foster's can. Amen!
