Chief I think Brown @135 from Lawrence got 5th. Don't know who got fourth for sure. Also fair to say that STA sent their JV.

Not real familiar with STA and thought they were one of the best in the state, did they really send their JV?

This Aquinas team at the SM South tournament yesterday is really not a JV team but more like a second team Varsity team to one of the best overall teams in Kansas this year. There are several bona fide varsity wrestlers and a couple of former state qualifiers currently on this team. I think there are several of them who could qualify for state this year and score points at state.

Meant no offence Husker Fan. Just trying to point out that their A-team wasn't there.

Vince I think that you make a very good point... At Leavenworth STA looked solid for the first tourney (these guys eat pretty well with great parent support it looked like SUB-WAY). When "A" bunch moves on the "B" batch will move in! That's the difference between "TEAM" and "PROGRAM". You and I have had several conversations about how tough it is to break line-ups. Well your boy defiantly proved that he belongs in the line-up! Congratulations! I saw an "unattached" JV kid from Salina South beat the "Varsity" Salina South kid in the finals! An unbelievable match came down to a last second TD to win but neither of them quit! That’s what makes great "PROGRAMS".
I’m not very smart… but I can lift heavy things!

I just wanted to compliment the wrestlers on the Aquinas 2nd team varsity because there really are some quality varsity wrestlers on this team.

Old Husker Fan had to go back for seconds. Thanks for the compliment on Jacob but his spot is still up for grabs. He has been bouncing back and forth with Alex Lopez (state quailifer in 2006) for that lst team heavyweight spot all year.
