Just a note that the Kansas Wizzers will be starting up practice soon. We anticipate starting practice the Tuesday after HS State. I will announce the location this week . We are doing the Wizzers a little differently this year. There will be some changes in the coaching criteria, wrestlers will be required to sign up with the team or pay a per practice fee, plus the wrestlers and coaches will be required to have their USA cards.

For those that don’t know we will take the team to the Brute Nationals in Kansas City, we are doing something different this year as well, at the request of several wrestlers and their parents. For those that are eligible, we will also be taking HS wrestlers, who are not with a current kids club, to the Kids State Tournament this year. We will also be wrestling the Wichita Classic. If a HS wrestler is a part of a kids program, we encourage you to maintain that association. We will likely be practicing on Tuesdays and Thursdays and on any other day that your kids club practices; we encourage you to be there with that kids club to be a good role model and example to those kids.

Anyone wanting more information feel free to contact me. The Wizzers will stay active this year and hopefully providing assistance to those on the team participating at Fargo. We will practice some of all 3 styles at most every practice, and focusing primarily on the style in season. Last year, if keeping team points, the Kansas Wizzers would have won every division, including the overall title at Brute, we hope to have the same kind of showing this year as the exceptional tough practices continue.

Mr. Furches,

Will there be any Wizzers practices up in this area? Wichita is a long drive twice a week.

I don't know Brandon, it all depends on who there is willing to help. I do know after last year, we are going to be a little stricter. Of course we will work with the out of town folks as much as possible. If anyone there is willing let me know, there are certain things we want to work on, especially physical wrestling and making sure our wrestlers are in GREAT wrestling shape.

If there is a location there willing to host a couple of practices, I can make sure that I could be there to help out along with another couple of coaches, so that is a biggie, time, and a location.
