Anybody particularly seniors from the class of 2007 that are hungry to wrestle in college but haven't had the offers coming in, this would be a great opportunity below.

Hannibal, MO—The Hannibal-LaGrange College Trojan Wrestling program will host a tryout/visit day for interested prospective wrestlers on Saturday, April 14 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The wrestling tryout/college visit day will include a tour of HLG campus facilities, admissions and financial aid information, and an opportunity to wrestle for evaluation of possible scholarships.

The newly added wrestling program broke ground last week on construction of a facility that will house the new program. The Secker Fieldhouse, named in honor of Girard Secker of Hannibal, MO, will serve as training and practice space, locker rooms, and office areas for the Trojan wrestling program.

The program plans to build a team of 30-40 student athletes who will receive scholarships for participation. The athletic department is currently reviewing applications for the head coaching position. For more information regarding this and other coaching opportunities, go to http://www.hlg.edu/newsinfo/employment.php

HLG is a Division I NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) school and a member of the America Midwest Conference. Those interested in the HLG men’s wrestling program and tryouts should complete and submit a questionnaire through the athletic site at http://www.hlg.edu.

SIDE NOTE: They are building a 4,000+ square foot wrestling room and in the process of hiring for the coaching position
