It's an hour and a half from Northern Chanute to the metro. That's close enough to a hundred miles.

I don't know if Jacob will end up being the top Kansas side 189 Metro wrestler next year but you may have picked his weight class correctly. It is pretty incredible for me to believe since a year ago at this time he weighed around 245 when he was trying to put on weight for football too. But right now he is only weighing about 195. He is seriously considering wrestling 189 next year.

I don't know if that is exactly how it will play out but you did pick some real good wrestlers and the weights for them seem reasonable too.

In 5A next season, I'm not sure where these guys will come in at, but here is a statewide look...

189:
Kolmer
Davis
Elsen
Martens

215:
Cole
Johnson
Strouhal

Those are some top 189 and 215 5A wrestlers that you have mentioned. I am not sure what weight they will all end up. Some may end up going 215 and some 285. Jacob could end up wrestling as a light 215 and still might be able to do 189 at the Metro Classic if he is chosen considering the Metro Classic weight allowance if he keeps his weight around his current 195.

Do we know where Stouhal is wrestling for sure next year? Is there any possibility that he could be eligible for the Metro next year?

I believe he moved back and will wrestle at Lansing again. I can't confirm that though...

I'll be at 215. and I moved back to Central due to some personal conflict, so I'll be playing ball and wrestling for ACHS, which makes me not eligable for the classic this year.

I wish we could keep you up here for this year Tyler!! Which ever place you land, keep your nose to the grind stone, get good grades, push yourself in practice and believe in yourself!

You're a good kid and have a lot more potential than probably anyone realizes. This will be only your fourth year of wrestling and you have a good chance to be a state champ!! I wish it would be for Lansing!

College recruiters should keep their eye on you.
