These are hilarious! Labette at #5 after beating #3 Meramec (27-10) and #4 Colby (21-17) at National Duals. Colby is better than Meramec as well. FYI...#3 (previously #1) Meramec coach does the rankings. Labette has now had wrestlers ranked (although not currently) at 8 of the 10 weight classes this year, and the other two are tough. This is a full team of ten guys who are capable of All-American placings with a couple of guys in the hunt for a title. Iowa Central and North Idaho are the teams to beat in my opinion. Iowa Central has studs and a few holes...they can be beat. Labette will duel North Idaho at the Apodaca duals in NW Wyoming the weekend after next...that will be very telling. In years past Labette and Colby have had a lot of trouble qualifying all ten guys to Nationals because the region has been so tough. This year several of the regional teams are down or slightly down and that should benefit both Labette and Colby in their title hunts.
