I have to disagree a little bit here. Yes there is a wonderfully bunch of awesome wrestlers around this age and weight but I think no matter what age and weight your kid is in, it always seems like the toughest because that is the kids you watch all the time. I think Kansas rocks in lots of ages and weights. We are just a powerhouse in wrestling period. Go Kansas Wrestling!!

These are not the actual matches, just top and bottom

come to rossville dec 26. I bracket the tourny. I will do the best I can. You can pm me if you want in or out of the bracket. We are doing block wrestling this year. This will make brackets like this possible. We also are going to make all wrestlers that are entered public info so you can see who will be there.

Yes we are using trackwrestling. I can put wrestlers in any bracket with a click of mouse.

Top Guns 55-64. I know the Kansas season just started and know alot of the formentioned top guns will be hitting the mat for the first time this weekend. I have seen a few wrestle already in Oklahoma. Most impressive. Beeson, Dryden, Deshazer, Hitchcock, and Stanton looked real good, and with Mason he's on his game. Looking forward to meet up with some of the other top guns this season. Good Luck to everyone this weekend.

I do know how enjoyable some of these things are to talk about, but think what everyone here is doing. I have a high school wrestler and two in kids. They see what you guys post. My 10 yr old asked me if I was disappointed in him for not being mentioned in here. He has wrestled for 5 yrs, he is a 4 yr state qaul and never placed does that make him bad??? No, he still enjoys to wrestle and wins more then he loses, but he sees something on here that comments on something close to his weight so he looks. He never sees his name and only hears about kids that beat him. Yes they are good kids, but isnt everyone who puts on the shoes. I get upset sometimes wondering if it is the kids who want it or the parent!!!

the parents are always as competative as the kids. thats why we get on here and talk about it. as long as they dont get out of hand at the mat or make foolish comments toward another individual thats the fun part of this forum. im sure i have made some foolish remarks toward some adults here but never would talk negatively about another kid.

you are exactly right, don't ever tell your kids any different. to place at the hs state wrestling tournament you are in the top 1% of the nations athletes. but you also have to let them know to let their wrestling speak for itself. newspaper articles, reporters, etc. will always be apart of sports, tell your son not to read too, much into any of it, and to use it as a motivater, and as soon as he beats one of these other kids, by all means post it to let your son know how proud you are. tell him today that he should be proud just because, he has the guts to "put on the shoes"

these "dream" matches happen all the time, at every tournament. the thing is most people are watching their kid, or someone from their club, and don't realize that the matches are going on. maybe tournament directors could recognize these matches over the pa. not stop the whole tournament like roller did for gary wayne harding's record breaking match. announce the match-up and a quick history about the two opponents. would be some added excitement, who wouldn't want to hear their name called out by some guy doing his best michael buffer impersonation.
