just wanted to tell all the Kansas kids nice job today. just noticed that a Kansas kid won 8 and under 67, 70 and 75. saw some kids that placed at Cliff Keen get beat at this tournament. 8 and under in Kansas is looking good for the future.

brady wrestled at 70 and wrestled the way i was hoping he would at cliff keen. he beat the kid that got 4th at cliff keen pretty good. i think the final was 9-4 and the ref missed 3 back but i didnt argue. troy won 75 and he beat a kid in the finals that didnt go to the classic but that kid beat a kid that placed top 4 at cliff keen this year and i think that kid won cliff keen last year. they both wrestled some quality kids and are finally showing the aggessive side of wrestling. pretty good day all around and I am really high on that tournament. huge medals and t-shirts for first. they are bigger than derby believe it or not. was back in wichita by 4:00pm.

Mason Turner got 1st at 10u 58, and 2nd at 12u 64 and he had 5 pin's. Jaymez Turner got 2nd in 12u 110 with 1 pin. Overall it was a great tourney with lot's of good competiton. Kansas kid's need to flood to that tourney, its like a mini national with bracket's stacked from top to bottom. It was our second year in row going and will be back there next year.

Great tournament, super tough wrestling throughout. Just can't figure out Oklahoma refs. No back points awarded, takes at laest 10 secs to call a pin, revesals called when both wrestlers feet are out of bounds, and the attitude they give coaches for questioning a call is pathetic, just to name a few. It will be good to get going in Kansas where our refs know know what they are doing for the most part. I know calls will be missed but in O.K. it's rediculous. We will go back for the compitision!!! And learn to deal with bad calls as they come.

if there's one thing i have learned over the last 6 years of my son going down to Oklahoma to wrestle, its this: Oklahoma refs dont like to see Kansas kids pin Oklahoma kids...nuff said

The refs hiding behind the saying "you questioning my judgment" is an official who is not sure of what they are calling. When I am asking an official to explain the call, and they reply back immediately "you questioning my judgemnt" tells me right there the are not sure. I then reply back, no sir I am not questiong your judgement, "but can you please explain to me the criteria that was met that you based your judgement on for the call." If they cant or dont then I will ask for the head ref.
