i dont think anyone ever said they felt cheated. i think what i want kansas to do is look at the way other states run tournaments and that way we dont have so many tournaments cancel. I am not here to be a vice president so throw that in your trash. you come in this thread making accusations toward the both of us and really you dont have any idea what your talking about. my goal is for my son to be the best and for kansas to be the best. obviously yours isnt so thats that. if yours isnt maybe you should go tread on someone elses thread. thank you for your observation of me but until your goals are the same as mine you will not agree with me much in the future.

Oh yea by the way i spend plenty of time in a wrestling room and im not scared to go somewhere and let the public know that im there. So if your gonna get on here and say how bad Kansas is then quit going to Oklahoma to wrestle and support our kansas clubs so we all can make kansas a better wrestling state!

Gabby, we are going to have to agree to disagree, I think? I can't make heads nor tails of what you are saying or accusing me of saying.

ok well as for you trying to say i dont want my son to be the best your wrong. I dont know a dad out there that doesn't want his son to be the best. And as for treading on your thread im just making a point, you say you want kansas to be the best but yet instead of helping make it the best you just take your talent to another state? To me that makes no sense at all. So maybe you should think before you talk. I mean the last thing im gonna do if i want something is to go somewhere else and not try to make it the best!

Ok guys, at the top of the page there is a tab named my stuff. If you put your mouse over it you will get a drop down menu where you can select messages, then you can private message your pissing contest at each other instead of over spraying the rest of this thread. Have a nice day.

My apologies. Wasn't aware this was your thread. In that case continue making a fool out of yourself. Again, my apologies.

we go out of state to wrestle the national style tournaments when they dont cost a fortune which is very few. i do wrestle some tournaments in kansas but i still think that we have way too many small tournaments. its ok to have some but 3 within one hour of each other is too many. it will not work and somebody will have to cancel just like you see on the calender already. we dont need a national every week like someone said but we do need more novice and a few more bigger tournaments like derby, maize and salina and etc. we also need to spread the tournaments out on the same weekends. look at the numbers ark city pulled in. now thats because it was the only tournament and they have a good reputation for having a good tournament in the past. thats how we make kansas successful. not by having 3 or 4 kids in a bracket at every tournament.

sportsfan, you can't even not argue when i'm not arguing with you. listen to your own advice i have defended your ideas on at least half of my posts. come on dude i'm tryin to help you out here. give me something to work with, please. i do think that you, in your own way, have the kids best interest in mind. i am talking to the folks that come on hear just to attack the ideas of bockman, yourself, and any one else. i am just saying we need to come together and work to better ks wrestling.

I'm not sure there is a pissing contest, and if there is, I don't know if I'm involved or not based on these posts? I'm having trouble following who's talking to who.

I'm really not trying to argue with anyone. But people need to start using the quote function for the person whom they are addressing and it wouldn't be so confusing.

If you look at Oklahoma they do have multiple tournaments every weekend. The clubs are what make for great wrestling. Most of the larger clubs go to the same tournaments Anderson, Bixby, Ironman. to name a few.. You just have to pick out the right ones here in Kansas for the toughest compotision. Ark City, Derby, Goddard, Maize, Salina all on different weekends!!!!!! And in my opinion if you want to stay in Kansas try heading to a different part of the state to see who's out there, you might be surprised. Saw multiple state placers at Emporia (on track wrestling) this past weekend, so the problem isn't multiple tournaments, it's picking the right one....

Has anyone noticed that it is kind of cold out today? Feels a little chilly on this thread too.

By the way, I think that Kansas wrestling is pretty darn good. I know of three studs, multiple Kids State Champions (I am talking 3-4 titles each), that finished 4th, 4th and 5th at the Eudora Tournament of Champions over the weekend. It really opened up my eyes as to the uphill battle my son will have going into high school next year.

I agree with Spexy on this one. There is plenty of good wrestlers in Kansas just go looking for them. If you want to wrestle good quality competition then don't rule out changing weight classes or even age groups to find it. You could communicate at the tournaments to find out where kids will be wrestling and enter your kid in that bracket.

Scott if you really want the answer to that question talk to the clubs that have had to cancel maybe they can shed some light on it for you otherwise all any of us can do is speculate.
