First of all let me start by saying that our regional training centers were started off with a bang! We had approximately 70-80 wrestlers attend the first session of the season. That is a great turnout. I know at St. James they had 41 wrestlers attend and some of the states best were all in attendance. This was exactly what we were hoping for. An opportunity to put the best guys in rooms where they can train each other.

However, we still want to be greedy! We understand that there were a handful of people that just could not make it do to other conflicts. Remember, we are expecting ALL wrestlers that want to participate on any National Team to attend AT LEAST 3 of our centers. We are really hoping that you do not plan on just attending the last three because all of our workouts are set up to learn from the previous centers techniques.

We have noticed that we are really thin in representatives from the central part of the state. We would like to see a lot more wrestlers from places around Topeka, Manhattan, Salina, and Junction City to name a few. May we can get a better turn out next time!!!!!!!!

Next Regional Training Center Date is May 2nd from 1 - 4 p.m.

You might get a better turnout from this part of the state if some of the sites were closer. It is over 90 miles to any of these locations from Clay Center. Is there anyway that we can work one into this area?

Coach,
If you are willing to work and host this site? We would be glad to list you as a representative as a center site. Coach, please email me your email address and contact information and I will get with you and fill you in on what we are trying to accomplish. Thanks for the offer and your time.

Russ,

The Regional Tng Centers are a great idea! We have sent a couple of our kids to the one at ST James and they loved it. Thank you very much.

I think the concept is great. The challenge you will have is getting the high school coaches to help. They want to but they can't because of KSHSAA rules (at least my understanding of them).

I'm not sure coach Pigorsch can help during the school year unless he is coaching kids that are not from his team.

This is a good example of why we need to get the rule changed. Maybe Will can add this to his Cannon Fodder (facts) when/if he does the proposal to change the rule.

If you ever need help in the District 1 area let me know. We would be more than willing to help.
