After reading the post about CS-Fullerton offering instate tuition, I was thinking at some point someone posted about a Midwest Exchange/Tuition Waiver or something of that nature amongst schools in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and I think a few others. May just be a deal in the NAIA or something but does this ring a bell with anyone?

Some schools in MO do not charge out of state tuition if you are in a bordering KS county to the MO state line. I don't know of other deals, but I am sure they are out there. My daughter was looking to go to OK on a rodeo scholarship and they were going to waive the out-of-state tuition.

In our experience, this in-state tuition deal does not apply to the DI schools. I know the DII schools we visited did participate in this program. UNO requires a minimum ACT score to qualify for the tuition break. It is a real help to both the student and the wrestling coaches. As one explained, without the in-state tuition benefit, a full ride scholarship costs the wrestling program the equivalent of 2 in state scholarships.

Lou Ann is correct about the ACT scores. Schools of all sizes can put together some decent packages if you have a good ACT and good grades, if not you are one of the masses.

Hey guys, found something: MSEP Mid West Student Exchange Program. So if you want to go out of state these schools work with you for same fee as the instate guys. By the way some schools don't participate in this, but have same price on tuition across the board.

Here is a listing of participating schools, someone with more time and sleep can breakdown which have wrestling:
