Congratulations to the Kansas wrestlers who made the team as first team, second team and honorable mention All Metro wrestlers. All five of our Kansas first team selections are multi year state champions. I believe there were also five Kansas second team selections and 13 Kansas honorable mention picks.

It was good to see that Austin Hood was named first team in addition to the same four wrestlers that Metro Sports had named, Bo Pursel, Connor Middleton, Reece Wright-Conklin and Nathan Butler.

It would have been nice to see Blaine Hill and Rory Haug a Kansas state champion on the first team too. The Missouri 170 selection was a state champion but Blaine Hill had a great record this year with only three losses to quality opponents and Blaine's one loss at State on way to his third place finish was to National Senior Class Champion Matt Reed. Isaac Dulgarian is probably one of the overall top ten wrestlers in the Metro but his second team selection at 120 was correct because I believe Isaac's one loss this year was to first team selection Brad Perkins of Oak Park at the Bobcat.

Congratulations to all of the All Metro selections.
