Thank you goes out to Topeka Seaman, Silver Lake, Topeka High, and Washburn Rural for making your mats available for the weekend. A very special thank you to Jr. Vikings, Silver Lake Wrestling Club, Topeka Tornados, Ogden Outlaws, Blue Thunder, and Thunderbirds for your help with setting up mats, clocks, and the head table area on Wednesday and Thursday.
Thank you Lonnie Woodman, James Russell and Brian Dultmeier for all the hours you spent helping us set up and chase down problems this weekend.
Thank you Leslie Smith, Carly Fletcher, Jennifer Lutz, Sheila Price, Amy Mick, Kim Lovvorn, Traci Dultmeier, Emily Stanley, Angie Willard Cheryl Seaton, Ian Seaton, Jenna Grater, Gavin Grater, and Mike Juby for all your help at the head table.
Thank you Bob Gonzales and Tom Smith for handling our public address needs all weekend.
Thank you Ed and Jennifer Edison for your help with distributing the coach’s bands.
Thank you D2 and D4 clubs for cleaning our mats on Friday and Saturday morning.
Thank you to Clay County Wrestling Club…I am missing quite a few names, but there were a lot of you who helped update brackets and with other head table needs. Your club has been stepping up for 25+ years and this year was no different!
Thank you Jim Lund and Jon Ray for the help you gave us hardwiring the tables on Friday night.
Thank you, thank you, thank you table worker volunteers (especially those working Friday morning). You looked adversity in the eye and did very well.
Thank you Topeka Lodging Association for coordinating the barbeque on Thursday after weigh in. Thank you Visit Topeka and Kansas Expocentre staff for all you do to help make our event a success.
While this weekend was not mistake free, I am very proud of how our event turned out. The quality of our state tournament is largely attributed to the people who volunteer countless hours to plan, set up, run tournament operations and tear down. You are often the unsung heros and your efforts are very much appreciated.
