This week kicks off the 3rd year that Greater Heights Wrestling opens its doors to all dedicated wrestlers, regardless of club or school, looking to train in a highly competitive room with state and national medalist at the youth, high school and university levels. This is an opportunity for wrestlers to come in and experience a training methodology and system that has produced 11 consecutive youth state team titles, multiple high school state champions and medalist, including numerous college All-Americans, including Alan Waters who captured his first NCAA Division I AA honor last month. The Greater Heights formula is aimed at building highly-skilled, mentally and physically tough wrestlers that possess the confidence to not only compete with but beat the best competition in the country.

The semester series offered is one of a kind in that it provides multiple workout sessions in a given week which can be used either as a core or supplemental off-season training platform. What can the Greater Heights program do for your wrestler? I highlight a couple of success stories from this past youth and high school folkstyle season below.

Ryker Smith-Greater Heights Wrestling (Youth). Ryker started training with us last spring/summer and was new to the program. He officially joined the Greater Heights youth club at the beginning of the folkstyle season and went from being a state qualifier last year to becoming a state champion and Tulsa placer this year at 8/55lbs.

Carter Thomas - Greater Heights Wrestling (Youth). This year Carter placed 3rd at the MO/USA Kids State tournament at 12/75lbs., one of the most competitive age/weight classes. Last year was the first time Carter ever qualified for the youth state tournament. Through hard work, dedication and following our training regimen he went from never qualifying for state to a top three medalist in a two year timeframe.

Blake Stoval - Greater Heights Wrestling (High School). Blake started training with us last year as an 8th grader and committed to the entire off-season semester program training with some of the best high school wrestlers in the country two to three times per week. As a freshman this year Blake captured a 6A (large class) Kansas state championship at 126lbs.

Colston DiBlasi - Greater Heights Wrestling (High School). Colston placed 5th as a freshman at the Missouri State tournament at 126lbs. During the spring and summer Colston remained committed to the program and his hard work paid dividends becoming a Fargo All-American. This year as a sophomore Colston captured a 4A (large class) state title at 152lbs., while moving up four weight classes.

There were numerous other club members who accomplished similar feats gaining state and national hardware. Each training semester I will highlight other wrestlers who have progressed through the program and who have EMBRACED THE CLIMB. Will your wrestler be the next success story?

The program runs as follows:

The first training semester will run 7 weeks. The primary sessions will run every Monday and Thursday from 6:00-7:45pm. There will also be select Sunday workouts each semester from 2:00-4:00pm.

All sessions will be at Park Hill High School unless noted otherwise and are open to all peewee, youth and high school wrestlers with at least one year of experience and who have a current USA Competitor's Card. If a wrestler needs to purchase a current USA Card then we can certainly assist with that process but all wrestlers must have a card before beginning to train. The training groups are limited in number so that each wrestler receives individual focus and attention from our coaching staff. Once the practice room is at capacity we will offer a waiting list for the next training semester.

Sign ups and payment will be due on the first night your wrestler trains with us. This can be done at any scheduled workout unless we are already at capacity. If that occurs, your wrestler will be placed on the waiting list for the next semester. All first semester participants will have priority to enroll in the second semester.

Best place ever if your kid is serious and wants to climb to the top!

A major part of Bo's success is directly a result from training in this room with Jason and the rest of the Greater Heights family.

Thanks Mike. You had a lot to do with Bo's success as well. It was great to see both you and Bo back in our room giving back this year. I look forward to seeing a bigger Bo in the room training with us this spring/summer.

Reminder: Signups begin tonight and are also on Monday night of next week for the first training semester. If you are interested in training with Greater Heights and cannot make one of the initial sign up dates then please email me at jasonkeck@yahoo.com. We have opened the room to all clubs and all schools during the spring and summer.
