Baker University senior Alan Callahan started his competitive career competing at the Topeka Expocenter in the Kids State Tournament. Now he will compete in his final scholastic event of his career at the Topeka Expocenter in the NAIA Nationals this weekend.
He was in my wife's very first Kindergarten class at Baldwin Elementary School, then a team leader of my BHS teams and earning three state medals (6th, 3rd, 2nd). He now has been a 4x NAIA National Qualifier.
Excited to watch him compete this weekend, along with another former Bulldog, freshman Bryce Shoemaker.
Hope to see a lot of fans come watch the NAIA Nationals this weekend....a LOT of Kansans competing!
