For those wanting to do some advance planning for the new season, there have been some changes in the fees charged by USA Wrestling. Both coaches' cards and athletes' cards have gone up by $1. USAW has shown quite a bit of restraint in increasing these card prices, with this being only the second increase since 2001. During that time the CPI has increased nearly 20% and insurance costs have gone up by 237%.
In addition to the individual membership cards, there was also an increase in high school team memberships to $400, and an increase in additional insureds to $25.
Because of our strong cash position, the board of USAW-Kansas has voted to delay the increase in individual membership cards, so the price for these cards will remain at $35 for athletes and $40 for coaches in Kansas. However, the increases in high school team memberships and additional insureds will be effective for the upcoming season.
Here will be our membership fee structure for 2016-17:
Coaches $40
Athletes $35
Club charters $75
Event sanctions $60
Additional insured $25
High school team memberships $400
