First, I hope everyone made it back home safely!
It was an incredible weekend and I hope you all enjoyed the experience! It was revealed time and time again this weekend but we all need to slow down, take a breath, and truly enjoy the ride!
I saw some fantastic wrestling this weekend. I saw some tremendous coaching and some exceptional parenting. Were there a few sour episodes? Sure but I think those were outweighed by wrestlers that gave it their best and by adults who were very supportive.
For some of us, there is very little time to rest. Some of us are heading to Omaha on Thursday. I will see some of you in Omaha, some in Hutchinson, some in Hays, Carlsbad, Fargo or some point in between. But some I will not see again until this time next year. Regardless, hug your kid/parent and always be there for them!
Are you making a POSITIVE difference in the life of kids?

Great thoughts Randy!
Be safe in Omaha, not sure if I'll make it up with the schedule I work at the factory, but if you want I'm taking chocolate requests to probably send up with Curtis.

Randy, What thought could you have about state other than "WOW". Win or loose how could you not appreciate the kids leaving everything out on the mat. What a great tournament. I saw so many double overtimes, upsets and heartbreakers the first day as if it was day 2 of the tournament. Great job to all the wrestlers.

On behalf of the tournament committee ( Ned Price, Leanna Grater, Bob Gonzales, Chad Parks) THANK YOU for a wonderful weekend.
It all started with a record crowd on Saturday. Great wrestling all weekend long from kids that have working very hard. The Expo Security said they had the fewest number of problems they have ever had. In a weekend that means so much to so many people that was a wonderful comment to here.
Know for a few THANK YOU'S!!
To everyone who help set up and tear down. This is no easy task, Sunday for sure when you want to go home just like everyone else. THANK YOU.
To the Weigh-in crew who showed up early so we could start early. They also gave up dinner with there family's so work weigh-ins, THANK YOU.
Table workers form all over the state. Sitting there for long periods of time. Sitting there listening to everyone scream at the top of there lungs all day long, and only getting a t-shirt for your efforts, THANK YOU.
The ladies at the head table who do such a wonderful job of keeping up on the brackets and help us keep the tournament moving on schedule, THANK YOU.
Our District Directors who help in getting all of the volunteers that we needed for the weekend.
The Juby family who did a wonderful job in posting the brackets before the tournament and the once again got the results posted before most of us got home, THANK YOU!!!!
To Randy H. and Bob P. and the oher 100 plus people that came up to us and said we are here to help just tell what to do, THANK YOU
As please as we are with this past weekend, there are always ways to improve things. If you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to post them here or send us a email to nprice@benedictine.edu.
Finally a special THANK YOU to a man who made sure that this weekend would be a sucess, Greg Grater! He built a State Tournament that is second to none, and left us a blue print to follow that will always Kansas Wrestling at it's very best.
THANK YOU MY FRIEND, I WILL MISS YOU!
Ned
