Just because Jhris is gone doesn't mean it's going to stop.
I love Hat Town and I just want to remind everyone that our witty banterists were state champs this year. Some (me) would argue that at the end of the season, they were the best team in the state.
So take that. Go Manhattan.

I think that Scott City and KC-Turner need to recruit some witty young souls to represent them on the forum. True state championship teams have a duty to entertain the masses.

Yes, that is so very true. I'd say 3-2-1A as well, but since their championship is somewhere else, I don't even feel as if they really exist. The Schippers are just figments of our imagination.

yes, wits we may not have, but creativity is off the charts. Not a single person posted about our accessories at the state tournament(our little weird colored sunglasses). Nor do they talk about our warm-up music(Safety Dance, Michael Jackson, Dirty Dancing sound track). Nor the creation of naked frisbee to be played before during and after weigh-ins. Many teams may have also noticed our nerdy horned rimmed glasses. We try our hardest to entertain the masses, we just don't have wit, we got soul.

Actually, Stike Meinmetz, I was going to post on here about the wit you and your Steve buddies showed earlier this year. Frankly, I miss Superior Steve and Big Steve O. It was nice to get some fresh, funny blood in here.

Ah, Psycho Steve, your words ring true on my heart. May the blessings of the Great Steve be upon you forever. Head Steves are humbled by your supplication to our witty dispositions.
As to Prant, I bear heavy sadness for your Manhappiness. Warriors must show not only wit, but humble wisdom as well, as some of your comrades-in-arms have not. One must be a noble warrior as well. Around the corner will thee be humbled, if not in this lifetime, then in another.
It is well spoken to require wit and humor, especially with the grueling combat wrestling warriors see day to day. However, a humble warrior knows his place in Steveville. Superior Steve knows as well, as once being a worthy ally of HatTown.
Now, my heart is heavy. It is one thing to dig for inspiration, another to bring shame into this hall of honor. Brave spirit chieftain souls are wise as well as ferocious, honorable as well as indefatigable, merciful as well as unforgiving. Some of the posts from Prant's brothers are unpardonable. Steves will not be brazen enough to lightly dismiss a state championship from any class. A warrior-brother deserves respect if he is a champion, regardless of the size of the battle. For some young JV warriors, just coming to practice day in and day out deserves respect: for they sacrifice much to become Steve.
I could care less if it is Manhattan, Turner, Scott City, or Norton, all of these warriors fought hard and well for the honor for just one year. The memory might last forever, but the contest begins anew in November.
Teach them Prant. They still mention you among their fires.

Steve O, I am not going to lie. I only understood about half of what you just posted. (And I finished 2nd in my elementary spelling bee, so my intellect is obviously pretty high.) As to what you say about some of my warrior/witty friends not being wise--I must disagree. I believe you are referring to our fallen comrade Jhris, who has been banned twice in the past two days. It is true that he has called 5A trash (honestly, I too have poked fun at the overall quality of 5A wrestling), but I assure you he spoke to the entire class, not the state champions of said classification. (That's you guys.) Turner had a pretty sweet team this year, as did Carroll, but you must know that we are familiar with such 5A dynasties as Salina Central, Newton, Winfield, etc. Are there good wrestlers in 5A? Absolutely. Are there consistently tough teams aside from Turner, Carroll and Ark City? Nein. I would hope that you will forgive Jhris for his perceived misdeeds, and in a Dream World perhaps one day you two will play naked frisbee together. He may have seemed unwise by getting banned, but I disagree. I would argue that his warrior spirit was so strong that he died in battle. And LancerM--please leave this dialogue to those who attend/have attended state championship schools.

Dearest Prant:
Steveness is hard to understand. I am still a student, even after these many years of study.
I do not concern myself with the overall sense of quality after the fact. Steves approach every battle with the same ferocity, whether it be 6A or 3A. It is a principle not worth arguing--there is no winner. And ties are for sissies.
But I know we battled much with all the classes in Kansas all year long--Abilene, Chapman, Carroll, Garden City, Aquinas, Hutchinson, Blue Valley, Goddard, and many other worthy adversaries. Their souls adorn our halls of honor. Many a Steve has fallen in defeat to these other warriors. Have not Hat Warriors tasted bitterness in their losses?
A winner knows the moment. A champion knows the journey.
Steve be with you, Prant.

LancerM:
You do dishonor to your warrior-brothers to say "my team sucks". Someone had to get you in shape. Someone had to crunch you day in and day out. Coach Sonderegger is a worthy adversary now of mine.
And I dare say, Miles Martin, is one huge Steve. He made me cry many a time.

Dude, all the majesitic/theatrical talk is making my head hurt. For the love god, its not the 17th century, try to talk somewhat modern.

Ah, my dear Prant. Up so late? Are you a fellow wandering insomniac like myself?
To be honest, I have stayed away from the forum because of the lack of maturity levels, and attacks on our team trophy by certain parties known to you.
But you wanted an intellectual challenge! I could hear your cries in the wilderness. So I returned to banter once again with you. Plus, I wanted to change the tone of the forum a bit. Even those of us living in old Wyandotte County, Kansas, have some ability.
Steves in Wyandotte fight a different oppression. Turner wrestlers are very used to this.
You know, Prant, I have seen many young forum users wrestle as well as write. They have a long way to go in many regards. I do believe the forums have a place, such as education, scheduling, learning of rumors, but not for personal vendettas or exploring what egomania means.
Thus, I fully support the moderators. To me, they are like keepers of the flame. No republic can be run with anarchy. Coach Dewitt, Coach Phillips, and Coach Lane are volunteering their time to make this as fair a forum as possible. I feel that they have.
By the way, rocknraider, I was shooting for something around 1000 B.C. However, I do believe my style crosses many corners of the earth, as well as time. Remember, wrestling is the oldest sport known to human history. Keep it noble, in your thoughts and your words.

Hm...I had an apology to you Steve O on here, citing a misunderstanding at the reason that I upset you and the other Steves. Maybe it was on another topic, but if not then I'm sorry. I meant to bring no dishonor to the Steves. Coach Sonderegger is quite the adversary and Miles Martin is quite the Steve. However, he couldn't stop my fireman's carry and it was funny.
