With all of the talk this week about the tragedy of the injury at Derby, I thought it important to comment on something also notable. I had the honor of working the 12 and 14 and under room for the Advanced (Open) tournament and thus having the privilege of watching the Zoglman (Brawlers) and Maple (TOHK) match. WOW! What a match! I must state that to see that many fans gathered around to watch this wonderful match was an honor. Talk about courage, heart, skill and sportsmanship, all the way around, this match signified what wrestling is all about. Yes, even for those who are critical of TOHK, their wrestler, fans, and coaches exhibited wonderful sportsmanship for what had to be one of the best wrestling matches I think I have ever seen at any level. To the two young men who wrestled their hearts out and gave their all, I thank you. All of the applause after the match was for your effort and ability, it was a true joy to watch, and I hope I personally, as a coach and dad from another club, have the honor of watching you two wrestle again.
