The Swayz and I had another adventure tonight. We got off to a late start and didn't leave my house until about 9:30, and instantly our night became unique. The Swayz led the way out of the front door, and was about to walk down my front porch, when all of a sudden he was almost in my arms panicing. I looked in front of him and saw this big black massive dog. Thats what it was at first though. Upon further review, it was a big black goat. I have never seen this goat before in my life, and we were trying to leave and it kept following The Swayz around. He now has a new friend, and we're looking for a way to get the goat back to Chapman.

We were then driving around Wichita, looking for something to do, and we could find nothing. We were very hungary, so we started looking for something to eat on the east side of town. Every where we went though, was closed. We kept driving around in search of food, and we found ourselves at the Newman campus. After a quick tour by car, we were on the road again. We then went over the Arkansas River at approxamitely 11:00 pm. As we were crossing it, we noticed a large amount of fisherman. There were about 12 old guys fishing off of the bridge in the middle of the night.

We were still looking for something to eat though, so we pushed on. We then drove through a very ghetto area. This was a place where the hotels cost by the hour. And after seeing several strange people out, we came across a hotel called the Napa Hotel. The Swayz almost hit a small child (that's what we think it was at least) as we were crying from the laughter.

We pushed further though, and found ourselves stopped at a red light at Topeka and Kellogg. This is when a bicyclist came out of nowhere and almost hit the car in front of us. It also almost gave The Swayz a heart attack.

After recovering from the scare, we found ourselves on Kellogg looking for somewhere to eat. This is when The Swayz realized that there was a Hooters somewhere on Kellogg ahead of us. So we were set for Hooters. But we finally found where it was, and it had been moved, so we were still really hungary, and a little lost.

I realized where we were though, and pointed the direction of where I thought Hooters was currently located. So we pressed on. But The Swayz found a Bennigan's, his favorite restaraunt, and decided we'd stop there. At this time it was about 11:30. We pulled up to the doors, to find out it closed at 10:00. So we were still hungry. And to make matters worse, we got lost in the parking lot. We kept following misleading turns, and got a little lost in the parking lot. We finally got out though.

Somehow we found a Krispy Kreme, and we decided to stop there for a snack. But they were also closed.

So we just kept heading north on rock, and finally found the Hooter's we so desperately needed. At this time it was 11:50, and they stop serving at 12, so we rushed inside and sat down. We ordered the buffalo chicken burger, or something like that, and some fries, because we were really, really hungry. I'm sad to say, that after they brought the food out, we were both beaten into submission by the size of the sandwich. It was incredible. I'm still full from it, and I ate over an hour ago. I guess that means the trip was worth it, but now we both feel a little sick to our stomachs.

We then came home, and luckily made it without any strange occurences. We're still alive, and really full, so I guess you could call it a good night. This may be the strangest night I've ever had though.

You have to see this goat, it's probably the ugliest goat I have ever see. And it's pretty big too. A very scary sight to see in the dark.

Just got back and the stories will soon start. Great day, long, but great. Started off talking to Danny Hodge on the way down to ask about his restaurant in Perry. Got into Stillwater, finally got through the construction, Swayz knows everyone, Leroy was there spent some time with us and Dusty Mays sister works at the HOF as well. Also spend some time talking to old friend Shane Roller who was there for the day as well. Chenoweth shows me his name in the HOF like 3 different times. We spend a huge amount of time seeing all of the Eric Akin mentions and tournaments, and on and on. Go get my boy a OSU singlet, eat at Eskimo Joes, on the way back stop at the restaurant in Perry, eat look at the old Danny Hodge photos, and guess who gets flirted with from the waitress???? On the way back Chenowet sleeps, Swayz and I listen to the Shrek Party CD, have fun during the Karaoke section, can't wake Chenoweth even with the special verses that Swayze and I make up about Newman and a few other Kansas Wrestlers. Also can't swing the van enough to wake up Chenoweth. When that boy sleeps, he sleeps. More to say like Chenoweth trying to get me to rip off a championship medal from the 1931 National Championships and more, but the rest of the guys can finish this story. We are planning to make another trip in the next few weeks, and will take others with us if they want to go.

I'm a heavy sleeper, what can I say. And I didn't try to steal anything, I just suggested we leave the Hall without returning the medal. lol.

sounds like fun--- get ahlod of me next time you are going, I could help with gas. It would be really cool if we could get enough interest up to charter a bus-- there are a lot of cool things there and you come out with a little better feeling that wrestling is appreciated more than we realize.

there has been talk about chartering up a bus or something down there to Wichita I think it would be great. Right now they are busy with trying to get a TV fixed as well in the Hall of Fame so you can view old video tapes there. I have made the trek about 9 times in the last year alone.

ALSO for everyone Else:
Disclaimer: NO GOATS WERE HURT DURING THE NIGHT. ANY GOAT THAT LOOKS OR RESEMBLES THE SWAYZ IS PURELY COINCIDENTAL.

It would be great to do a trip like we spoke about earlier, trip down go to a dual at UCO or OSU, then do the Hall and a dual at the other school the next day, if something like that worked out. Also would be great to do a HOF and UCO & Newman Dual the next day. Could do it all for less than $100 a person including the cost of the room, admission, etc. if enough people signed up.

UCO/Newman dual would be great...also other matchups that could be well is the UCO and OU intersquads as they are done side by side at the same venue! UCO/Newman will be great with the number of Kansas guys in both programs going at it.

It would especially be good for those living in the Wichita area. Maybe Coach Stovall and the crew at Newman already have something like this in the works, if not it would be a great idea. Coach I have my CDL with a passanger permit so I can help on saving money on a driver if need be, willing to trade off or donate.
