OK, it's May 1st and the Cadet duals are June 21st with the Juniors the 26th. Let's start a drumroll and get the best Kansas kids contacted! I'm sure there is work being done now, but we have to get the TOP KANSAS kids to these events. I'm sure this will leave out plenty, but some line-up suggestions here will help start the ball rolling. (Can we say that in wrestling?)

JUNIORS:

98 - Brandon Goodwin (Can you make 98 for one last hoorah?)
105 - Sharky Slyter
112 - Nathan Furches
119 - Nathan McCormick
125 - Tyler Caldwell
130 - Aaron Ely
135 - CJ Napier
140 - Aldon Isenberg
145 - Derek Koehn
152 - Tyler Koehn
160 - Boaz Beard
171 -
189 - Romero Cotton
215 -
275 - Atticus Disney

CADETS to follow.....

Alan weighs about 120 right now. He wrestled 112 this season, 105 would be a very difficult (if not impossible) cut. He is better suited to 112. That is quite a few tough kids between 112-119.

Chief I don't even know if I an going to do Duals this year. I am recovering from an injury right now so we will see how that goes, also the last two years at Duals I have been bent over with out so much as a kiss first so I don't know if I am wanted or needed or want to participate.

I know Brandon. Going 11-1 (right?) last year tells me they will want you back. Hope you get back healthy quick!

The Cadet national team will be determined by Tom Peterman and his assistants. The results of the State tournament in Junction City will weigh heavily in their decision. The line-up that I posted to begin this thread was just an idea of who might wrestle where.

Let's start with any Cadet team ideas. I really hope our best Cadets will step up and wrestle for their state!

Can anybody add to this list of possibles?

84 - Breen
91 - Schmidtberger
98 - Ornellas/Vesta/Moeder
105 - Slyter
112 - Callahan/Russell/Cokeley
119 - Rogers/Madl/Nitcher
125 - Hood/Shavlik
130 -
135 - Crank
140 - Gaither
145 - Means
152 - Fausset/Evan Johnson/Leupold
160 - Detmer/Truman
171 -
189 - Kolmer
215 - Caylor/Banner
HWT - Vincent

The number one criteria for the Dual teams is FS/GR State at Junction City. We have to get a good turn-out! Missouri had over 800 wrestlers. Last year, Kansas had just over 200. Let's show up at State!

This looks like Missouri's cadet team:

84 - Gerringer
91 - Brewer
98 - Dixon
105 - Waters
112 - Tyler
119 - Harrison
125 - Friedley
130 - Bailey
135 - Wilbourn
140 - Amos
145 - Compton
152 - Wyatt
160 - Sanders
171 - Eblen
189 - Brink
215 - Glasgow
HWT - Britt

Can we compete with this team? Bailey, Wilbourn and Amos beat three of our best Juniors last weekend.

Mango is not competing. He is going to be gone to Japan. Bricker Dixon is wrestling in his place. Bricker beat Terrell Wilbourn last weekend.

Good luck! What kills Kansas in FS/Greco especially this year is that there are still KSHSAA STate Championships this weekend in other sports, we are butting heads with the High School Athletic Association and in turn probably leaving out some kids that would like to win a gold medal at the state tournament in say Track and Field, but may also want to compete in the FS/Greco State tournament!

98 -
105 - Slyter/Goodwin
112 - Furches
119 - MCCormick
125 - Tanenbaum
130 - Napier/Jesseph
135 - Caldwell
140 - Isenberg
145 - Koehn/Flynn
152 - Edison/Hambleton
160 - Koehn
171 - Berscheidt/Witt
189 - Cotton
215 - Bach/Rivard
HWT - Disney/Andrus

Kyle Detmer doing both Cadets and Juniors at 152 would help also.
