MISSOURI WRESTLING FOUNDATION
RECIEVES APPROVAL FROM USA WRESTLING

The Missouri Wrestling Foundation is pleased to announce that they have received approval from USA Wrestling as a Regional Olympic Training Facility. The facility will be located at the University of Missouri-Columbia where arrangements have been made to use the wrestling facilities located at the University. This arrangement will allow those athletes that train at the Regional Training Center to have access to one of the top wrestling facilities in the country. Recently, several members of the foundation traveled to Arizona to meet with the founder (Art Martori) and Director of Operations (Tim Gressley) of Sunkist Kids wrestling to see first hand how they developed into one of the top programs in the country for Elite wrestlers. The members came back excited about the possibilities as they begin to implement their organized efforts to offer the opportunity for young athletes to “Turn Their Dreams into Gold!”

The Missouri Wrestling Foundation recently announced that their athletes will be competing as “American Top Team”. Raymond Jordan (American Top Team) recently became the first athlete sponsored by the foundation to earn a spot in the World Team Trials competition by winning the Northern Plains qualifier.

In a collaborative effort between the Missouri Wrestling Foundation and Missouri USA Wrestling we are proud to announce several training opportunities that will be available at the Regional Training facility. The Schoolboy dual team that will represent Missouri at the National Duals will be training at the facility May 20 and June 3.

There also will be a freestyle training opportunity for any athlete that has a USA wrestling card on June 5 from 4:00-6:00 pm. Instruction will be given by 2X National Champion and 4X All-American from the University of Missouri, Ben Askren. There also will be a Missouri National Team practice and qualifying tournament (if needed) on July 8 for any Cadets and Juniors that would like to attend.
