Bickley Announces 10 Signings For 2007-08 Season

Fort Hays State University head wrestling coach Cody Bickley announced today the signing of 10 individuals for the 2006-07 season. Nine of the wrestlers are incoming freshmen and the other is a transfer. Information on each wrestler is listed below.
Dustin Dooley, 125 Pounds
Dooley, a native of Concordia, Kan., comes to the program from Concordia High School. Dooley was a state champion his senior year going a perfect 44-0. He was a three-time state placer with a second-place and sixth-place finish at state under his belt as well. Dooley compiled a career high school record of 163-18.
Micah Ankenman, 125 Pounds
Ankenman, a native of Hutchinson, Kan., comes to the program from Hutchinson High School. Ankenman was a three-time state placer for the Salthawks with third, fourth and fifth-place finishes to his credit. Ankenman compiled a career high school record of 112-39.
Travis Kuhn, 141/149 Pounds
Kuhn, a native of Clarks, Neb., comes to the program from High Plains Community High School. Kuhn was a state champion his senior year, posting a record of 38-2. He was a three-time state placer with a second-place and fifth-place finish to his credit along with his championship. Kuhn complied a career high school record of 136-22.
Bradly Esterl, 149 Pounds
Esterl, a native of Beloit, Kan., comes to the program from Beloit High School. Esterl was a two-time state champion for the Trojans as a junior and senior. He helped guide BHS to the Kansas Class 3-2-1A Co-State Championship in 2007. Esterl went 41-1 his senior year and compiled a career high school record of 145-16.
Eric Johnson, 149 Pounds
Johnson, a native of Norton, Kan., comes to the program from the University of Central Oklahoma. Johnson will come to the program as a senior. In high school, Johnson was a two-time state champion and had two runner-up finishes to his credit. Johnson compiled a high school record of 116-12. Johnson saw action as a freshman for Central Oklahoma in 2004-05, going 7-8 while wrestling in three tournaments and five duals.
Kyle Hudgins, 165 Pounds
Hudgins, a native of Spring Hill, Kan., comes to the program from Spring Hill High School. Hudgins compiled a 43-4 record as a senior, finishing fourth in the state. He also has a sixth-place finish in the state to his credit. His career high school record was 134-33.
Aaron Berscheidt, 165/174 Pounds
Berscheidt, a native of Gardner, Kan., comes to the program from Gardner-Edgerton High School. Berscheidt was a two-time state placer, finishing second and fifth. He compiled a career high school record of 115-42.
Ben Evans, 184 Pounds
Evans, a native of Hutchinson, Kan., comes to the program from Hutchinson High School. Evans was a two-time state champion for the Salthawks as a junior and senior. He compiled a record of 31-2 as a senior, and a career record of 105-27 in high school.
Michael Baker, 197 Pounds
Baker, a native of Lindsborg, Kan., comes to the program from Smoky Valley High School. Baker finished second in the state during his senior year, compiling a record of 35-2. He compiled a career high school record of 79-25.
Justin Glenn, Heavyweight
Glenn, a native of Enid, Okla., comes to the program from Enid High School. Glenn was a state champion as a junior and has second and third-place finishes to his credit as well. Glenn was a two-time All-American at the Cadet Nationals in 2004, placing sixth in Freestyle and seventh in Greco-Roman. Glenn is ranked #129 nationally among seniors in all weight classes according to Intermat Wrestling. Glenn will also be competing for the Fort Hays State football team.
