Both Cullen are Austin are Schoolboy still. I would think Tommy Williams will be a great candidate for 84 for the cadets.

That will definitely help that FS/GR State has been moved up to May 10th! Our Cadet and Junior teams should have much better preparation.

even though I would love to have Caylor back at 215, a Fargo Double champ, he was a 2nd year cadet last year, layed off his first year.
Coach Peterman
Keep the names a coming with your ideas I want to know about every Cadet in this state, I want our best kids to have our best team for our best chance of bring that evasive National Championship to Kansas.
Come'on guys you know we got the kids they're just not all doing it. Let's get exicited about this GR/FS season, its the Olympic year, screw that political stuff.

I am trying to convince a certain state placer that it is time to get back into FS/GR. He could probably go 152 or 160. We will see.

98 - Seaton/Humphrey 105 - Penka/Smith/Moeder 112 - Gentzler 119 - DeShazer/Seaton/Tanenbaum 125 - Madl 130 - Cokeley/Blew 135 - Nitcher/Shavlik 140 - Blair/Coover 145 - Baughman/Curtis 152 - Gaither 160 - Leupold 171 - Wessell 189 - Grimes 215 - Page 285 - Vincent
Are Trey Page and Jace Banner too old for Cadets? I really wish Colt Rogers wrestled FS/GR.

I did leave out 84 and 91. There are 17 weights. Thanks!
We need some little giants to fill those bottom two weights. Any ideas?

Isn't cadet age group 14 & under based on how old you are August 31st 2007?? If that's the case then the Cadet team would be made up of Freshman & 8th graders..Correct??

he was in 10th grade and most 10 graders are born in 1991 "Most" is the key word. Lucas turned 15 in 2008. He's a Cadet.

I'm not sure where Dustin Reed of Colby is on weight, but he isnt very big. Possibly he could fill the 84lb spot? I'll get in touch with his parents and see if that might be an option. Who is in charge of the team?

Tommy Williams is a cadet and a very tough 84 pounder. He did well on the Schoolboy team last year.

That looks like a good lineup. If all these wrestlers compete in this event Kansas will be represented well!

Chief a few thoughts/other kids/suggestions. 84 Williams 91 Schumacher (he is a Cadet) 98 I think both kids you have listed are too big for 98. I would say maybe Dryden, or someone like that. 105 Moeder (Neither Seaton or Humphrey has FS/GR much but are both very good) 112 Penka/Smith/Eck 119 Gentzler/Deshazer/Tannebaum/Seaton (logjam) 125 Cokeley/Madl 130 Blew/maybe Cokeley depending on how much he grows 135 Nitcher/Shavlik 140 Blair/Coover/Sanchez 145 Baughman/Curtis 152 Gaither/Pursel 160 Leupold 171 Keith/Wessel (Wessel has never FS/GR but a stud) 189 Grimes 215 Page 285 Vincent Just my thougths. I added a few and bumped a few up that I don't think there is anyway they can or want to hold this weight until June.

Cadet wrestlers and parents,
I will be at Kid's Folkstyle State in Topeka selling t-shirts, come by and I have forms for Fargo and Duals. But realize it all matters on who is at Greco and Freestyle State in Junction City on May 10. I would like to see what cadets are going to be there and who you think the good match-ups could be. Last year the Cokeley, Slyter, DeShazer matches were fun. Anyone remember any of the other great match-ups. Ain't nothing like watching a couple of bigdogs going at it. There should be some great Junior matches also.

I agree coach. Let's all meet in Junction City and make this the best FS/GR State yet! Many of us have called for an earlier date that will help Kansas prepare for our Dual Team competition and now we have it. Who could forget last year's Cokeley/Slyter/DeShazer/Callahan match-ups, the Detmer/Brown battles and the Nitcher/Shavlik/Hood clashes. Hope we have all the big dogs show up. That will set the tone for a Kansas wave that should give our dual teams a real shot at placing on the National stage.

Chief, your'e right-who could remember the Cokeley, DeShazer, Slyter battles. They were full of intensity, interesting moves and some controversy- and I'm not talking about the kids just the Dads....
