This 2008 team is looking like our strongest chance at a top 3 finish since the Enid team's 4th place. Is there any thoughts about emphasizing Freestyle over Greco to give our kids the stamina to peak at the end of the week? I hope these guys are ready to go: Vesta Ornelas Slyter Callahan Furches McCormick Tanenbaum Maple Graham Noblet Napier Means Nelson Caldwell Isenberg Henes Flynn Watson Detmer Koehn Elliott Cotton Bach Disney I also hope we get a big fan base making the trip to OKC. If you haven't been to a Junior Dual event, you should schedule a family trip. Downtown OKC is a great destination with the river walk and plenty of attractions. Check out http://www.bricktownokc.com

The Junior Duals are in OKC on 6/30 through 7/4. The Coaches are Mike Garcia and Scott Rieck. The FS/GR State Championships are on May 10th in Junction City and will HELP the coaches determine the team members. The ultimate roster decisions are at their discretion.

What is the age for Jr Duals? If you will be attending the southern plains camp will this be a good way to "try out" for the team?

You are right Chase! Along with Tyler Gonzalez and Tait Weatherbee. With a strong HWT, we might have been in the finals!

that 2005 team was a really cool team to be a part of, especially when you are'nt really sippose to be there. I was only a sophomore, and still had one more yr of cadet eligibility. It was a great time.

How many of these guys have been wrestling FS/Greco? Heck with these guys we could almost have 2 teams if we were to pick a few more up. I always hear of kids who want to wrestle on the team but for one reason or another don't. Hopefully this year we pick up some additional guys. Someone at the other forum, The Mat, has already mentioned the team from the Park Hill thread over there. I also hope that the wrestlers will all do what is best for the team, which means, if having to cut a little, or even bump up a weight, then they do so. It is time we look at the team concept for the summer season, thankfully Park Hill gave us a good taste of what may come.

2001 was the highest finish for the Junior Freestyle team. I think that we got 3rd place, maybe 4th.
