Manhattan High School's 39-37 win over Grand Island Central Catholic on Friday at the Flatwater Fracas in Grand Island, Nebraska was the 200th career dual victory for Coach Gonzales.

Congratulations to Coach Robert Gonzales.

Congratulations to Coach Gonzales on reaching the 200 win club! He is fantastic coach and an outstanding human being! His kids have always shown the utmost respect on and off the mat, and i believe this is a tribute to how this man expects his young men to represent their school. Good luck to Bob in all his future endeavors!

Coach Gonzales:
Congratulations on a tremendous accomplishment. You have been a great friend through the years and your love for the sport of wrestling is apparent.
One of my greatest memories in wrestling was when you allowed my team to come and practice at Shawnee Heights as we were heading to a tournament and then you let my entire team stay at your house. You also had a little wrestler who was hanging around, couldn't have weighed more than 90 pounds, I believe his name was Tanner Gardner.

Coach Gonzales,

There is not a man in Kansas that has a bigger heart than you and loves the sport as much as you do, Congrats on your number 200. I know there are many more to come.

After a crazy couple of weeks I am just now seeing this, Coach Gonzales is one of the most respected coaches in Kansas for a reason. I really admire this guy and another to add my congrats, a pat on the back, and a way to go to my Southern Plains Roomy and friend. Way to go Coach, it is truly an honor to know you.

Congrats Coach Gonzales. I've had a ton of respect for you since you helped coach me at Senior Nationals and am honored now to consider you a friend. I think your accomplishment far out does any compliment I could give your coaching ability as 200 dual wins speaks quite loudly.
