How did Nick Newell end up? Pretty tough for a basketbal player throughout high school until his senior campaign

Kansas State is having a very good tournament. They are in ninth place now and are close enough that maybe they could jump up a spot or two.

A couple of things that I really like about the NCWA are increased wrestling opportunities that it offers to wrestlers in that it gives a lot of wrestlers the opportunity to continue their wrestling careers thru college, it allows for more than one member from each team to compete and qualify at the same weight and it also has one additional weight class at 235. That 235 weight class is a lot better for the bigger athletes than the 88 pound differential in the other college divisions that go from 197 to 285.

Great job, Wildcats bring home some more victories today!

Kansas State making big news on http://www.wrestling411.tv/ They got stuck behind an accident. The coach told the kids to get running....7 miles to the venue, the guys got there 15 minutes prior to weigh-ins and even though they were worn out from the run...they have improved from 9th up to 5th. Great story which can be heard on the link above.
